This is our history The Whiskey Rebellion Festival celebrates the heritage and unique character of the region by focusing on the significance of the Whiskey Rebellion, which was the first challenge of the authority on the newly created federal government. The festival honors that critical moment in America’s county and region. Community-focused entertainment infancy through historic reenactments, period exhibitions combines with nationally renowned artists to create a and demonstrations, family fun, frontier art, heritage festival that acknowledges the past, celebrates the present music and food, shining a national spotlight on the city, and looks toward the future. Robin and BoB Robin and Bob are a Washington County based musical duo that was formed in early 2017. Bob Giacometti has been playing guitar for over 30 years and Robin Matthews has been singing in some capacity since she was a young girl. Their sound is an eclectic, genre-defying mix of blues, rock, folk & old- timey country. The duo has opened for The Danielle Nicole Band, Albert Cummings, Davina and the Vagabonds, and Tas Cru. Lil’ Rebels Heritage AreA When we said we have something for everyone we weren’t kidding! Children can experience a frontier classroom: writing with a quill pen, reading from McGuffey Readers, and practicing lessons on slates. They can try 18th century games such as rolling hoops, cup and ball, hopscotch, stilts and quoits. And they will learn about the role of youngsters on the frontier, trying their hands at the types of domestic chores required of children, such as gathering eggs, fetching water, and washing clothes in a tub with a washboard.
