Additional Factors Travel restrictions: o Borders reopening but limited air travel o Vaccination required Quarantine: Take PCR Test within 24 hours of arrival and quarantine until test is taken/negative COVID Test: Evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR or other Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) test taken within 3 days before your flight’s scheduled departure, or a medical certificate as proof of a negative Rapid Antigen Test taken under medical supervision within 24 hours before your flight’s scheduled departure, must be provided to your airline when you check in.

Additional Factors Travel restrictions: o Air travel limited o China currently allows foreign nationals with valid residence permits and visas to enter the country under certain very limited conditions. o It is mandatory for all travelers to be fully vaccinated in order to enter the country. At present, eligible vaccines include Sinopharm, Sinovac, Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson. Quarantine: All inbound passengers are required to quarantine for at least 14 days upon arrival. COVID Tests: o All travelers are required to provide a negative COVID-19 nucleic acid (PCR) test and an IgM antigen test conducted within 48 hours prior to departure to China. The test must be taken at an institution recognized by the local Chinese embassy or consulate. A negative COVID-19 certificate must be submitted to the embassy/consulate for a health declaration approval and presented along with the approval to the airline before boarding the plane. Further, travelers will be subjected to additional tests on the seventh and 14th days after arrival.

Additional Factors Travel restrictions: o Air travel limited o Borders currently closed to foreign nationals – unsure if will be offered o validity of visas issued before or on December 2, 2021, is currently suspended except for the status of residence of “Spouse or Child of a Japanese National”, “Spouse or Child of a Permanent Resident” or “Diplomat”. o All individuals entering Japan are required to fill out a health questionnaire prior to departure and present the QR code generated upon arrival Quarantine: 7 days quarantine; incoming arrivals are subject to six, and three days of institutional quarantine. After completing their institutional quarantine, travelers will be required to complete the remaining period quarantine at home. COVID Test: 72 hrs. prior to departure + test upon arrival

Academic Factors Must take the following courses: • Not-for Profits course: An in-person on-campus course starts in September and ends in November. • Two online electives that run from July - December with a three- day workshop on the AMBS campus in September.
Additional Factors Travel restrictions: o Air travel limited Quarantine & COVID Test: o Fully vaccinated (boosted after 4 months) travelers are exempt from all testing and quarantine requirements, but need to fill out Passenger Located Form o Unvaccinated travelers are required to carry a negative test report not older than two days and take a pre-booked PCR test after arrival. Additionally, unvaccinated travelers are required to undergo quarantine if the result of the PCR test is positive, however, quarantine will not be required if the test result is negative
Important Notification Due to increasing COVID risk and other risks. • USC reserves the rights to cancel any study abroad program locations. • Partner schools might change instruction mode online or suspend their programs.
What else you need to know • Courses abroad must be taken on a letter graded basis • Courses abroad must be pre-approved by the MBA Program Office • Must not exceed 15 CR/NC elective units inclusive of IEP • Non-Marshall courses taken before will impact your graduation
What else you need to know • USC grade shows as credit/no-credit basis listed on USC transcripts • Must receive the minimum grade requirement to obtain USC credit (might be different from the host school) • Official transcripts must be requested by each student to be sent to GPP office • Possible delayed graduation
Tuition and Miscellaneous Expenses • Tuition & Health Insurance paid to USC • Some schools require students to use their insurance as well • Miscellaneous fees paid directly to host university (includes program fees, student health center, student insurance, etc.) • Additional expenses include airfare, visa fee, housing, books/supplies, etc.
• If enrolled in 4 or more units, finanicial aid is disbursed 10 days before the first day of the study abroad semester • Consult with a financial aid advisor • Increased budgets will be submitted to the Financial Aid Office Melbourne, Australia
Financial Aid • Overlapping semester: Can’t enroll in any other USC courses during the overlapping semesters. If you enroll in other courses during the overlapping semester, you will be ineligible for financial aid for both semesters. • Check with your academic advisor and financial aid office if you are interested in study abroad program and need to take an independent study course at USC
Housing, Registering for Classes, Visas • Partner schools assist with registering for classes • Some partner schools assist with finding housing • There is some guidance for securing a visa. It is your responsibility to make sure you have the appropriate visa. Requirements vary greatly based on your host country and your citizenship. • Some schools provide mentors

Eligibility Requirements for Exchange Programs • Active Marshall MBA or MBA.PM students • Minimum 3.0 GPA at time of application and commencement of approved exchange term • All core courses must be successfully completed BEFORE term abroad begins • If you are a dual degree student or have taken non-Marshall courses, participation in IEP will impact graduation requirements.
