There is a fountain filled with blood, 4. E’er since, by faith, I saw the stream Drawn from Immanuel’s veins Thy flowing wounds supply, And sinners plunged beneath that flood Redeeming love has been my theme, Lose all their guilty stains. And shall be till I die. Lose all their guilty stains, And shall be til I die, and shall be til I die; Lose all their guilty stains; Redeeming love has been my theme, And sinners plunged beneath that flood, And shall be till I die. Lose all their guilty stains. 5. Then in a nobler, sweeter song 2. The dying thief rejoiced to see I’ll sing your power to save, That fountain in his day; When this poor lisping, stammering tongue And there may I, though vile as he, Lies silent in the grave Wash all my sins away. Lies silent in the grave, Wash all my sins away, Lies silent in the grave; Wash all my sins away; When this poor lisping, stammering tongue And there may I, though vile as he, Lies silent in the grave. Wash all my sins away. There is a fountain filled with blood, 3. Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious blood Drawn from Immanuel’s veins, Shall never lose its power, And sinners plunged beneath that flood Till all the ransomed church of God Lose all their guilty stains. Be saved, to sin no more. Be saved, to sin no more, Be saved to sin no more; Till all the ransomed church of God 3 Be saved, to sin no more.
* The Greatest of All Chorus by Fanny J. Crosby; Music and additional Lyrics by Pat Sczebel. © 2007 Sovereign Grace Worship 1. The greatest of all transactions, 2. Now I’ll never know Your judgment; The costliest purchase price; You ransomed and saved my soul. Father, Your Son’s atoning death Jesus, Your death and Yours alone Was given in payment for mine Has canceled the debt that I owed. To buy me back from slavery, You satisfied the law’s demands To set me free from my chains. And new life’s been given to me. CHORUS CHORUS (x2) Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it; Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Redeemed through Your infinite mercy; Your child forever I am. CONFESSION OF SIN Worship Leader: Almighty Father, God of gods and Lord of lords, Father to the fatherless, Husband to the widow, Defender of the helpless, Judge of all the earth, have mercy on us. People: We have not sought freedom for the oppressed, even though you freed us. We have not bound up the broken, even though you healed us. Worship Leader: We have not forgiven others, even though you freely forgave us. We withhold kindness from the needy, even though you freely gave us your own Son. People: We are without excuse, but not without hope. By your power and grace, accept Christ’s sacrifice for our sins, and change our ways by the power of his glorious resurrection. SILENT CONFESSION OF SIN Worship Leader: Lift up your heads, you who are no longer strangers and aliens, but are now fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, and hear these words of grace. Words of Grace But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 4 John 14:26-27

A Community of Worship Psalm 48 Summer Psalms and Proverbs 1 Greatis the LORD and greatly to be praised in the city of our God! His holy mountain, 2 beautiful in elevation, is the joy of all the earth, Mount Zion, in the far north, the city of the great King. 3 Within her citadels God has made himself known as a fortress. 4 For behold, the kings assembled; they came on together. 5 As soon as they saw it, they were astounded; they were in panic; they took to flight. 6 Trembling took hold of them there, anguish as of a woman in labor. 7 By the east wind you shattered the ships of Tarshish. 8 As we have heard, so have we seen in the city of the LORD of hosts, in the city of our God, which God will establish forever. Selah 9 We have thought on your steadfast love, O God, in the midst of your temple. 10 As your name, O God, so your praise reaches to the ends of the earth. Your right hand is filled with righteousness. 11 Let Mount Zion be glad! Let the daughters of Judah rejoice because of your judgments! 6
A Community of Worship Psalm 48 Summer Psalms and Proverbs 12 Walk about Zion, go around her, number her towers, 13 consider well her ramparts, go through her citadels, that you may tell the next generation 14 that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever. Sermon Outline Main Idea: This Psalm gives us five reasons we should value corporate worship. I. Corporate Worship Is Beautiful to God II. Corporate Worship Protects Us from the World III. Corporate Worship Advances God’s Mission IV. Corporate Worship Disciples Our Children V. Corporate Worship Points Us to the New Jerusalem 7
The Lord’s Supper Minster: We proclaim our faith as signed and sealed in this sacrament. People: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Minister: Praise you, Lord Jesus. People: Dying, you destroyed our death. Rising, you restored our life. Lord Jesus, come in glory. Minister: We profess our union with Christ in his life, death, and resurrection. We offer our thanks while we yearn for the coming marriage supper of the Lamb. People: When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim your death, Lord Jesus, until you come in glory. From The Worship Sourcebook All who trust Christ for salvation and desire to live for him are invited to participate. If that doesn’t describe you, feel free to sit and reflect on what God may be saying to you through His Word. Please come forward down the center aisle and return to your seat via the side aisles. Select either grape juice (in the clear cups) or wine (in the red cups). Gluten-free wafers are available upon request. After receiving the elements, we return to our seats to partake together. Children who have not yet made a profession of faith are invited to come forward for prayer at a prayer station. If your child is ready to profess their faith, please speak with our pastor or one of the Elders. 8
