AHMEDABAD Located in one of India’s most vibrant cities, Ahmedabad University has a unique mindset to develop cultural and entrepreneurial sensitivity in our graduates. It was established in 2009 by the Ahmedabad Education Society (AES) which is an 85 years old academic trust. MESSAGE FROM THE DEAN Amrut Mody School of Management In a VUCA world made ever so dynamic with rapid technological advances, the young graduates who come into the employment world have a challenge to be industry ready and employment ready. At Ahmedabad University, we have adopted experiential pedagogies such as project-based learning, ENABLE, and we place special emphasis on interdisciplinarity in our programmes, to provide education that equips students to think deeply and creatively across multiple domains to handle the complex challenges of our societies. We encourage discovery of new ideas, and are of the belief that good theory results in good practice. The Amrut Mody School of Management offers management programmes for undergraduate, graduate, doctoral students, and working professionals. Our School has adopted a unique learning process, which has fieldwork and industry sponsored projects at its centre. This enables students, researchers, and faculty to develop insights into the real world industry/corporate scenarios to arrive at solutions through rigorous analytical experimentation.. To groom industry-ready graduates, in addition to deep disciplinary knowledge, we provide training in business etiquette, professional behaviour, soft skills, and robust engagement with the industry within and outside the classroom. Towards this goal, we seek collaboration with industry stakeholders to create internship opportunities for our students during their programme and final placements upon graduation. AMRUT MODY SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT The School currently offers a multitude of programmes, from Undergraduate to Doctoral degrees as well as short term Certificate Bachelor of Commerce Professional (Honours) programmes. The School works closely with industry partners to provide a balance between rigorous practice and strong conceptual education. Undergraduate Programmes The Undergraduate programmes at the Amrut Mody School of Integrated Master of Business Administration Management are all crafted to provide a comprehensive grounding in the canonical subjects in Business Administration and Commerce: be it Human Resources Management, Marketing, or Finance. To graduate with Master of Business Administration, student must successfully earn minimum 80 credits and secure a CGPA of 2.00. Credit structure is divided into six major components: Programme Core Courses, Category A – Industry Elective Courses, Category B – Free Elective Courses, Summer Internship, Route Camp Project, and Lab Courses. PLACEMENT 2021 Integrated Master of Business Administration 2016-2021 The five-year Integrated Master's programme in Business Administration focuses on identifying goals, strategies for facilitating growth and creating experiential learning through concepts like bootstrapping, business canvas, prototyping, and building proof of concept. A student needs to take courses leading up to a minimum of 203 credits (Undergraduate: 123 Credits and Graduate: 80 Credits with passing grades and a final CGPA of 2.00 in order to receive the Integrated Master of Business Administration degree. Credit structure is divided into five major components: Programme Core, Electives Category I, Electives Category II, Internships and Immersion, and Free Electives. Internships form an integral part of the Integrated MBA programme at Ahmedabad University. Students are exposed to multiple short duration internships every year in organisations varying from NGOs to corporates, which fosters personal development and enables them to gain first-hand exposure of working in the real world.
