3rd Wave Triathlon Club 3rd Wave Triathlon Club meets to train from April-July in anticipation of the Morden Triathlon. The triathlon will be held in July 10-11, 2021 at Lake Minnewasta. Our extensive collection of marine reptile fossils is the largest in Canada and is very well represented in our gallery space. The Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre annually conducts Fossil Dig Adventure Tours for children, families, and earth science enthusiasts of all ages.

The program offers basic curling skills, game strategy and the chance to play mini games throughout the year. CanSkate is Skate Canada’s flagship learn-to-skate program that teaches fundamental movements (go forward, go backward, stop, turn, spin and jump) and basic skills. The CanSkate Program emphasizes fun and continuous movement and is taught in a group lesson format. Sessions run October-March StarSkate offers opportunities for skaters to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and interpretive skating.
This program teaches figure skating skills in a group and/or private lesson format in a progressive and sequential manner and includes specifically designed awards and incentives. Sessions run October-March. COVID-19 Update: On behalf of the Morden Figure Skating Club we are happy to let you know that we will be running a skating program this season. We will continue to follow the Skate Canada guidelines and make accommodations and alternations to our programming as is required of us. This year registrations will be done online. Students will spend one hour in the classroom and one hour will be spent on the range shooting and learning the safe handling of firearms. Sessions will take place at the Meridian Exhibition Centre in Winkler on Thursday evenings beginning in early November and ending in late March. Ages 6-7 and 8-9 will have sessions from 6 to 7 PM. Ages 10-12 and 13-15 will have sessions from 7:15 to 8:30 PM. The registration cost is $250 per child with a 20% discount for each additional child per family and a 10% discount for South Central Youth Soccer Premier players.

Gymnasts will learn skills with different pieces of hand apparatus- ropes, hoops, balls, scarves, and ribbons. Back to List Special Olympics Manitoba Fall 2020 Update: Due to COVID-19, our programming has been put on pause. Decisions on a safe return to play will be reassessed in 2021. Special Olympics offers child and youth programs designed to help children with an intellectual disability develop basic motor and sport skills through fun and positive movement experiences. Special Olympics promotes opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, enhance skills and create friendships. FUNdamentals (ages 7-12*)- A continuation of the Active Start program for young athletes with an intellectual disability ages 7 to 12. This program transitions from basic movement skills to basic sport and physical literacy skills while maintaining an atmosphere of fun and meaningful interaction. * Children outside of the FUNdamentals age range will try to be accommodated as best as possible and you are encouraged to contact Courtney with any inquires and/or questions.
