MEMBERSHIP GOLF KOREAN VERSUS INTERNATIONAL CUP SGA INTER-CLUB LEAGUE: FIFTH LEG JUL - AUG 2015 | FORE! KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON THE FIFTH LEG of the ongoing SGA Inter-Club League is one game our Club players may not want to remember. The Jurong Country Club came up with final scores of 10.5 points against SGC’s 3.5 points. Currently placed 5th in the Overall Ranking, JCC showed dominated all the divisions except our Men’s B Division, which managed to score a draw. The group of Ben Yu, Kwon Il, Eddie Loo, Wong Qi Yang, Jeff Goh Siok Piew and Jung Soon Jae put up a valiant fight at Laguna National, and refused to be discouraged by the equally determined B Division players of JCC. With eight more legs to go, the SGC XXXX XXXXXXXXX Team are expected to take stock, regroup and rethink their strategy for a strong comeback. Watch this space! A decade has passed from the time Mr Bob Tan and Mrs Helen Tan first assumed their roles and as a tribute to their past long- term commitment, staff from the Golf Agronomy and other SGC departments lined up along Serapong Hole 9 to wish them well. Whether with golf equipment in hand or from their work vehicles, the staff cheered them on as they played out the finishing hole. ASIAN TOUR FEATURE NEW COUNTRIES, SAME GOALS By Kyi Hla Han Chairman, Asian Tour OUR 2015 SEASON is starting to go into full-steam mode and good news continues to swing the Asian Tour on the upward trend. Besides our ‘homecoming’ to Sentosa where we’ve now settled comfortably into our serene surroundings, the Tour is gearing up for an exciting run of events in the months to follow. We recently announced a return into Vietnam following a seven-year lapse for the inaugural US$1.5 million Ho Tram Open which will be played at The Bluffs Ho Tram Strip, a two-hour drive south of PHOTOS: COURTESY ASIAN TOUR Ho Chi Minh city. Following up on that terrific news, the inaugural Bashundhara Bangladesh Open was also launched to make it five new Asian Tour tournaments in our 2015 season.
