City of Scottsdale
On January 13, 2021, Mayor David Ortega reinstated the City’s facial mask mandate for
individuals over the age of six when in public and social distancing is not possible.

Sacramento Region
On January 12, 2021, the State ended the stay-at-home order for the thirteen counties that
make up the region.

City of San Diego
On January 12, 2021, the City Council approved an extension to its temporary ordinance
allowing certain businesses to apply to use outdoor parkland during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ordinance waives park fees and will remain in effect until businesses can resume indoor
operations or December 31, 2021.

City of Santa Barbara
On January 8, 2021, the City’s relocation assistance ordinance went into effect. The ordinance
provides three months of relocation assistance payment to those evicted without fault.

San Benito County
On January 15, 2021, County supervisors approved an emergency ordinance to fine individuals
$100 for their first offense and $500 for their third if they do not adhere to facial mask
requirements. A business can be fined up to $5,000 for their third violation, and $10,000 for
their fourth.

City of Denver
On January 11, 2021, Denver Public Schools reopened for in-class instruction for early childhood
education through fifth grade. High and middle school students will move to in-class
instruction January 19-29, 2021.

City of Atlanta
On January 25, 2021, Pre-K, grades 1 and 2, and special education students will be permitted to
attend in-school classes. Beginning February 1, 2021 Grades 3-12 will be able to return for in-
class sessions.

On January 12, 2021, the City Council approved a 50% fee reduction for liquor licenses and
video gaming license renewal in certain cases.

On January 12, 2021, the City Council voted to allow businesses to serve customers in parking
spaces beginning May 1, 2021 through October 24, 2021.

On January 14, 2021, the County Board voted to allow businesses to open up at 25% capacity as
long as social distancing protocols are practiced.

Iowa City
On January 12, 2021, Mayor Bruce Teague extend the City’s mask mandate until May 31, 2021.
Masks are required in all public places when social distancing is not possible.

On January 14, 2021, the Board of Supervisors voted to extend the County’s mask mandate
through March 31, 2021.

On January 15, 2021, the County Board of Supervisors approved an extension of the Declaration
of the Public Health Disaster until February 19, 2021.

On January 12, 2021, the Board of Commissioners approved an extension of their mask
mandate through February 1, 2021.

On January 15, 2021, the County extended its health order through February 24, 2021.

Kentucky
Unemployment Benefits
On January 12, 2021, Gov. Andy Beshear signed an executive order to provide a one-time relief
payment of $400 or $1000 to workers receiving unemployment benefits. Those that have
applied for benefits but have not received them will receive $1000.

Safety Precautions
On January 12, 2021, Gov. John Bel Edwards extended his modified Phase 2 order and strongly
recommended that all businesses in Louisiana move to remote work for as many employees as
possible.

The State released the Decarbonization Roadmap mandating that all cars sold in the State will
be electric by 2035.

On January 13, 2021, Gov. Tim Walz announced an extension to the State’s Covid-19 emergency
for an additional thirty days.

On January 13, 2021, the City Council voted to limit commissions to 15% for third party delivery
services (DoorDash, GrubHub).

City of Kansas City
On January 13, 2021, Mayor Quinton Lucas announced an extension of the City’s mask
mandate. In addition, bars and restaurants may now close at 12:00.

On January 13, 2021, Gov. Greg Gianforte announced that restaurants, bars, breweries,
distilleries and casinos are no longer required to close at 10 p.m. or have a maximum capacity
of 50%.

Safety Precautions
On January 15, 2021, Gov. Chris Sununu extended the State’s mask requirement until March 26,
2021.

On March 23, 2021, AB5240A is effective, amending Civil Rights Law and Education Law.
Moving forward, single use restrooms must be “gender neutral” in public places.

On January 14, 2021, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that all restaurants located in orange
zones with the exception of those in New York City will be permitted to resume indoor dining at
50% capacity.

On January 12, 2021, the City Commissioners approved an extension of their facial mask
mandate through February 18, 2021.

Grand Forks County
Effective January 18, 2021, Health Officer Dr. Joel Walz’s mask mandate extension took place.
Facial masks are required in all indoor businesses and public settings and outdoors when
physical distancing isn’t possible.

On January 14, 2021, Gov. Mike DeWine signed the Employment Law Uniformity Act. Effective
April 12, 2021 employees will be required to file a charge and exhaust administrative remedies
with the Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC) and receive a “right to sue” letter prior to suing
their employer for discriminatory practices. In addition, the statute of limitations for workplace
discrimination claims is now two years.

On January 13, 2021, Gov. Kevin Stitt announced an extension to the State’s Covid-19
emergency for an additional thirty days.

On January 13, 2021, Gov Kevin Stitt announced that bars and restaurants would not be
required to close to at 11:00 p.m. for indoor dining.

On January 13, 2021, the City Council voted to extend its mask mandate until April 30, 2021.
Facial masks are now required to be worn in all public places when social distancing is not
possible.

Safety Precautions
Effective January 15, 2021, 26 counties will be in the State’s Extreme Risk level, two will be at
high risk, two will be at moderate risk, and six will have lower risk restrictions. Click here for

On January 12, 2021, Health Commissioner Dr. Tom Farley announced that indoor dining can
resume to 25% of capacity. Tables are limited to four customers from the same household.

On January 13, 2021, Mayor Jim Coppinger extended the County’s mask mandate through
March 31, 2021.

Safety Precaution
On January 15, 2021, Gov. Tony Evers announced an extension of the State’s mask mandate for
an additional 60 days.

On January 15, 2021, the City’s health order limiting capacity at restaurants and bars expired
allowing those with previously approved full-capacity safety plans to resume operations at full
capacity.

On January 15, 2021, the Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) announced that the City was
returning to Phase 4.2 of the public health and safety order "Moving Milwaukee Forward.”
