LEAP 2018 THE MENTORS AND DRAGONS The leaders of the 21st century are multi-lingual, culturally aware, connected across An elite team of mentors and trainers will guide you through the business borders and global in outlook. LEAP 2018 prepares students for this challenge by development process developing their key entrepreneurial, creative and leadership skills in a dynamic business environment. LEAP 2018 will bring together talented individuals from every corner of the globe to work collaboratively to gain the skills necessary to be leaders. Female Entrepreneurship Social Enterprise Business Multi-national Development Collaboration Leaders Dr Lee Durrell MBE Naturalist, author, and television presenter Julian Box Entrepreneur, CEO Calligo LEAP students are members of multi-national teams of girls working collaboratively to Simon Boas Executive Director, Jersey Overseas Aid develop social change projects and then actually executing them in a sustainable Dr Lesley Dickie CEO Durrell network, having developed the skills to do this through the programme. Programme LEAP 2018 will develop business, entrepreneurial and leadership skills through developing social enterprise projects to target key global issues. These will then be undertaken within the International Women’s Academy, a global female empowerment network, and be long-term sustainable global projects. Global experts will act as teachers, mentors and guides, and finally as judges as the programme will be structured around a Dragon’s Den like pitch for project funding The programme is structured around a Dragon’s Den style pitch, where a total of Dragons Den £2400 of sponsorship is available. Students will Just the Beginning develop social enterprise projects to run globally following the programme The programme will bring together experts in the diverse aspects of business development to Business Training Female Leader Lectures teach, guide and inspire. Students will apply this knowledge to develop their social enterprise projects. The students will form multi-national teams Project Work who will work together and bond during the Team Building programme ready to implement their project across the globe. “An intensive 10 days of business development, team building, ideation and female empowerment targeted at key global issues.”
Invited Participants High School students will be invited from schools in every continent, with an emphasis or Dates: July 30 - August 8, 2018 producing culturally diverse teams from every socioeconomic back ground. You will be Location: Jersey College for Girls, Jersey working in multi-national teams, designing world changing projects and executing them on the global stage. Participants: Grade 9-11female students The programme is just the beginning and your teams are expected to continue to execute Price of Programme: £1200 your project during the follow year / years.
