SCHOOL DEBRIEF Our Past to Present GAME TIME! Get to know your group even better with Never Have I Ever. Everyone starts out by holding up 5-10 fingers, depending on the size of the group. Each person will have a turn introducing themselves (name, grade, etc.) and they will also share “Never have I ever” scenario. For example: traveling to a specific country, never having peanut butter, or speaking another language. Then anyone who has had that experience will put a finger down. Keep an eye out for when someone puts their finger down to get to know others better! Maybe you have commonalities that you did not even know about! WHAT DID THEY SAY?! Speaker Reflection: Check in with one another to reflect on what you heard from today’s speakers! Here are some discussion prompts: -What is something that stood out or that you learned from each speaker? -One a piece of paper, write down one word to describe _______ (your take away from speaker one, your take away from speaker two, how you feel after listening to today’s speakers, etc.) and hold it up for all to see. -What is something you want to change for yourself? -If you could share one thing from each speaker with your chapter or your school, what would you want them to know? How could you get that message out to them? Take notes of what other group members share and think about how you can bring these take aways and messages back to your schools! 10

SCHOOL DEBRIEF Chapter Celebration & Our Future GAME TIME! The exciting sponge! This is a quick and easy storytelling game. Each member needs to grab a random object from their home and create a story about it, or they can default to describing a generic sponge. The goal is to exaggerate the truth about what makes the object amazing. Make up a creative scene, describe in elaboration, and make your group laugh at how silly you can make a seemingly ordinary item, extraordinary! WHAT WILL THE FUTURE LOOK LIKE?! Planning for the future during these times may feel uncertain. Remaining ambitious and goal oriented though will help you and your group stay focused and successful during these times. Use the brainstorming questions on the next page to help you visualize and make a plan for success. Here are some programming ideas that can work in-person or virtually. Be creative! - video or image messages - - social media campaigns or competitions - - freshman welcome messages and events - - chapter meetings - - live or virtual events - - working through the student leadership manual - “Don’t let what you can’t do stop you from doing what you can do.” -John Wooden 24

What fall goals do we have for our group? What spring goals do we have for our group? List them out! 2. Brainstorm ways you can make these activities, events, and goals happen for two scenarios: 1) in person and 2) practicing safe social distancing standards.
