Garden to Table Finally a week of sunshine and everything in the garden is growing fast. The dishes the classes cooked this week used a variety of vegetables; a sweet and tasty Parsnip and Caramelized Leek Tart and a Green Salad with Avocado dressing. With so many avocados around at the moment the kids highly recommend this creamy yet zingy dressing to make at home. There were lots of Spring tasks to be done in the garden. We planted more beans, transplanted nasturtiums, started on the pumpkin patch, pulled out winter veges that had bolted and started clearing space and preparing beds for summer planting.
Weetbix TRYathlon We are only 3 weeks away from the Mount Maunganui Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon, we hope your students are getting excited.
