Page 2 November 2021 Remembrance Day On September 26 we celebrated Remembrance Day at Forest Hills Cemetery. The weather was perfect. I would like to particularly thank the Reverend Marta Maddy for officiating. Also, thanks to Laura Jacobs for her lead in organizing the event and her rendition of Burns’ A Red Red Rose. The food was largely due to Mary Gaidis with contributions from a variety of others. The pipes and drums were exceptional as always. Our next event will be Kirkin O’ the Tartans, November 21 at First Presbyterian Church. As most of you know this is an event in two parts: the formal service and presentation of tartans followed by the dinner in the church basement. With the recent rise in Covid cases it remains to be seen if we will be able to hold the dinner as usual, with some sort of modification or perhaps, not at all. A decision will be made in November. Either way, I hope to see you all there. Slainte, Dan McKee Do you have something to share you want featured in the newsletter?
