Stay in Touch: High temperatures can be life-threatening, so communication plays an important role. Let your family, friends, and caregivers know your welfare twice a day. Meet Your Neighbors: Get to know those who live near you and learn about their schedules. Know Who To Call: Prepare a list of emergency phone numbers and place them in an easy-to-access area. Wear the Right Clothing: Wear light-colored and loose-fitting clothes to feel cooler, don’t forget to put on your sunscreen and wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
