Thurs 23rd May 2019 This year Smith’s Travel will be hosting the Biggest Morning Tea as their community event in conjunction with the Penguin Uniting Church 10:00 a.m.—12:00 noon. We will pick up passengers along the coast to attend the event. 20% of the tour price will be donated to Cancer Council. The Biggest Morning Tea is held all over Australia annually to raise funds for cancer research. COME ALONG, INVITE FRIENDS AND FAMILY to our fundraising event. There will be lots of games and prizes to be won, entertainment and of course a BIG MORNING TEA!!! Three River Run Country VIC/NSW 1—10 June 2019 Day 1 Saturday 1st June 2019 Pick up our excited passengers along the coast where we will head to Launceston Airport and board our flight to Melbourne. There will be an opportunity to purchase lunch (own expense). We will meet our driver and make our way to Echuca where we will spend our first night. You will have some free time to wander around High Street where you can explore the unique speciality shops before dinner where we will meet our fellow travellers and get to know your travel hosts. Overnight Mercure Port of Echuca D Day 2 Sunday 2nd June 2019 Today we will learn about the bustling river trade of the 1800s and hear the true tales of the Murray River when we visit the Port of Echuca Discovery Centre . We will then experience the magic of the mighty Murray River on the P.S Alexander Arbuthnot Paddle Steamer. This grand old lady of the Murray was the last paddle steamer to be built as a working boat on the Murray River during the river boat trade era. Our next stop will be the Aussie Beer Shed where we will take a trip down memory lane walking through the 50,000 square ft shed, filled with an unbelievable display of Aussie icon paraphernalia including 17,000 beer cans from Australia and around the world. We will then have a traditional aussie lunch before heading to Swan Hill to catch the prestigious 360 degree multi-media Heart of the Murray River Laser show. Using water, light, lasers, sound and special effects to tell us the story of the Murray, we will be taken back 30 million years before travelling forward through time to see the Murray River as we know it today. Overnight Pioneer Station Motor Inn B L D Day 3 Monday 3rd June 2019 This morning we will start our day off in the 19th Century at the Swan Hill Pioneer Settlement. You will hear the enormous steam engine trundling around the pioneer settlement, see the world through the eyes of a pioneer by visiting the Kaiser Steroscopic Theatre. We will see some of the earliest and more unusu- al examples of Australian headers, tractors and ploughs, many of them being the only examples left any- where in the world. Walking down the street seeing shop fronts from nearly 100 years ago, where we will find Jimmy Long’s Bakery and The Paragon Café where you can purchase lunch. (own expense). This afternoon we drive to Mildura where we will check in to our resort and have a lovely dinner at the Bistro, you may even want to get the seafood special. Overnight Mildura Golf Resort B D Day 4 Tuesday 4th June 2019 We start our morning with a late breakfast, we then make our way to the Mildura visitors and infor- mation centre where we will get an insight into Mildura’s history. We will then head to Psyche Bend Pump Station which is the oldest pump configuration of its type in the world. Psyche Bend Pump Station was built in 1891 by the Chaffey brothers to meet the irrigation needs of the settlement. George Chaffey chose Mildura as a site for irrigation settlement due to the proximity to two major rivers, the Murray and Darling. After free time in town where you can have a bite to eat (own expense) we will visit Oak Valley Estate for some wine tasting. Overnight Mildura Golf Resort B D
Three River Run Country VIC/NSW 1-10 June 2019 Day 5 Wednesday 5th June 2019 An early start today, we will be crossing the Murray River into New South Wales and will be driving to the iconic outback town of Broken Hill. Our first stop will be the Pro Hart Gallery. Here we will learn about the outback legend. Pro Hart’s art captures the lush colours, the sense of space and spiritual quality of the outback in ways very few artists are able. After a quick lunch break (own expense) we will be visiting Day Dream Historic Mine. History will come alive as we descend into the mine, we will see the tunnels and voids created by miners and see the working conditions of those miners from long ago. On our way back to town we will stop by the Barrier Rangers where we will see the Living Dessert Sculptures and watch the sunset. Tonight we will have a late dinner. Overnight Comfort Inn Motel B D Day 6 Thursday 6th June 2019 Today we have a long travel day, seeing the ever changing scenery that the outback provides from the comfort of our luxury coach. We will arrive at the regional town of Cobar where we will have a late lunch (own expense) then on to visit the Great Cobar Heritage Centre, a former mine administration office which was built in 1910. Before checking into our hotel we will go to Fort Bourke Lookout where we can see the open cut Cobar Mine. This is a working mine and it is fascinating to see huge trucks making their way up a 150m deep hole. Overnight Copper City Motel B D Day 7 Friday 7th June 2019 Today we will be to travelling the small outback town of Condobolin where we will stop at the Utes in the Paddock on our way in. Here we will see 15 old utes all painted and positioned by some of Australia's best artist’s to showcase the life in the outback. After some free time in town where we can purchase lunch (own expense) we will visit the Railway Museum. The Museum has a collection of house trikes, trailers and old railway items. Day 8 Saturday 8th June 2019 This morning we will be going to Temora to see the Aircraft Showcase. This event features serviceable air- crafts from the Temora Aviation Museum’s collection, which includes the Supermarine Spitfires, CA-13 Boomerang, Cessna O-2A , Lockheed Hudson, Wirraway, Tiger Moth and Ryan STM S2. You will be able to get close to the action and witness a themed selection of Australia’s ex- military flying history come alive. There will be options to purchase lunch through out the day (own ex- pense). Overnight Lake View Motel B D Day 9 Sunday 9th June 2019 Today we will be visiting Byramine Homestead and Brewery. Byramine Homestead is open to the public as an enchanting memorial to those early pioneering days. The home was built in 1842 by the famous explorer Hamilton Hume for his sister in law Elizabeth Hume and her nine children. After the tour we will enjoy some tastings and head to our next desti- nation the Cactus Country. Cactus Country offers a unique experience with more than 4,000 species of cacti and succulents from around the globe, which are presented throughout eight different garden trails. We have a light lunch at the café. On our way back to the hotel we will drive by four silos that have been painted to represent each little outback town. Overnight Lake View Motel B L D Day #10 Monday 10th June 2019 Our final leg of the trip we will be heading to Tullamarine Airport (Melbourne) and boarding our flight to Launceston. We will make our way to the North West Coast where after a fantastic 10 days away. B

Upon arrival in Sydney, we will meet our driver and have some lunch (own expense) before checking into our accommodation. Tonight we will enjoy an early buffet dinner at the Hotel, then it’s time to head to the Capitol Theatre to experience the international multi-award winning musical Chicago. A true New York City Institution, Chicago has everything that makes Broadway great; a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one show stopping song after another; and the slickest dancing in town. Starring Natalie Bassingthwaighte as Roxi Hart, Alinta Chidzy as Velma Kelly and Casey Donovan as Matron ‘Muma Morton’. Overnight North Sydney Harbour View Hotel D Day 2 Thursday 22nd August 2019 After a delicious breakfast we will make our way to the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) where we will be taken on a 90 minute guided Walking Tour, a fascinating journey behind the scenes of the Sydney Cricket Ground, and the SCG Museum. The precinct is Sydney’s home of sport where international sporting heroes play cricket, rugby union, rugby league, football/soccer and Australian Football League (AFL). Hear entertaining stories of players, spectators and events as you take in the sporting architecture and ambiance of the SCG! Visit the historic Members Reserve, the Home and Away Dressing Room, Media and conference rooms and the historic Long Bar and Museum. You will have the opportunity to purchase lunch at Circular Quay (own expense) before our afternoon Tribal Warrior Cruise, where we will set sail aboard the Mari Nawi around the spectacular Sydney Harbour. Visit Be-lang-le-wool, a national park island where the stories will take us on a journey from pre-colonisation through the coastal lifestyle of Cadigal, Guringai, Wangal, Gammeraigal and Wallumedgal. Hear the names and meanings of significant Sydney landmarks, understand fishing methods and food gathering techniques and Aboriginal cultural performances. Day 3 Friday 23rd August 2019 After breakfast today we will be visiting the Royal Botanical Gardens where an experienced guide will take us to some of the most interesting parts of the garden where they will surprise us with amazing aromas, interesting tactile experience, tasty treats and visually stunning plants. We will also get exclusive access to a private glasshouse with stunning views of the harbour. We will have the opportunity to purchase lunch (own expense) during free time, go for a walk along the rocks or just relax over a nice wine taking in the lovely view. This afternoon our driver will take us to a couple of Sydney icons including Hornby Lighthouse, Bondi Beach and Waverly Cemetery where we can have a look around at our leisure. An early dinner before heading to the Sydney Opera House to see what is hailed as the greatest Broadway Musical of all time West Side Story. A modern retelling of Romeo and Juliet; this tragic love story tells the tale of two young people whose happiness is destroyed by the hate of two enemy camps in New York cities urban jungle. The “Jet’s” sons of previous immigrants to America battle the new arrivals from Puerto Rico, the “Sharks” for domination of the streets.
