TO: CAWV MEMBERS FROM: TRIPP DAILEY, CHAIRMAN, CAWV PROGRAM COMMITTEE RE: 2022 CAWV MIDYEAR MEETING IN ARUBA The fabulous Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort & Casino is the site of the 2022 CAWV Midyear Meeting which will be held January 28 - February 2, 2022. Your Program Committee is putting together an abundant mix of business, sporting and social activities to truly make the 2022 meeting one you do not want to miss. In the meantime, everyone wishing to attend must make their room reservations by September 20, 2021. Rooms reserved after this date will be on an availability-only basis. Due to pent up demand from COVID, and with February being the height of Aruba’s tourist season, the hotel warns us not to expect rooms to be available after our deadline. ACTION NEEDED: HOTEL RESERVATION REQUEST The Hyatt Regency Aruba room rate is $499 per night plus 24.5% tax per room, per night based on single or double occupancy, and an increase of $45.00 per person, per night for additional persons age 18 or older per room. Maximum 4 people per room. A deposit equal to two nights room and tax for each confirmed room will be due at the time of reservation. Pre and post date extensions are offered by availability only. Confirmed room reservations cancelled less than fourteen days prior to arrival will be charged with one night room and tax. PASSPORT REQUIREMENTS: Rules require all adults and children who plan on traveling to Aruba to have a valid passport. Please know that due to COVID, it is taking 120 to 180 days for the U. S. State Department to issue a passport. Members needing a passport should start the process immediately. Meeting registration fees include meeting costs, two nights meals and receptions, general business sessions, and the Sunday Prayer Breakfast. We hope you plan to join us for what promises to be a most enjoyable meeting at what many consider to be their favorite CAWV meeting site. But please remember, hotel rooms may not be available after September 20. If you plan to attend, don’t delay! Meeting Registration Couples Registration - $1,620 Single Registration - $1,060 Child Registration (Under 18) if attending CAWV events - $425 MEETING CANCELLATIONS: Refunds will be granted no later than Monday, December 12, 2021. Passport Requirements Rules require all adults and children who plan on traveling to Aruba to have a valid passport. Passport information can be obtained at www.travel.state.gov. Transportation Shuttle service, taxis, car rentals, and other transportation will be available. More information to come. COVID Testing Travel requirements are constantly being updated. Currently, COVID tests are required prior to travel to Aruba and prior to returning to the United States. The Hyatt will provide testing for hotel guests. Updates will be provided to members as they are received.

Red Sail Sports
Aruba’s playground offers exciting activities for the whole family. Red Sail Sports has
everything - from diving lessons and trips to snorkeling, deep sea fishing charters,
watersports equipment, and much more. Red Sail Sports has a location on-site at the Hyatt
Resort and is open daily from 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Hyatt Regency Casino
Try your luck at the recently enhanced Hyatt Regency Casino featuring 13 gaming tables,
148 slot machines, and 13 video poker machines. Slots are open from 10:00 a.m. to
midnight, daily. Table games are available from 3:00 p.m. to midnight, daily.
Tierra del Sol Golf Club
The CAWV Golf Outing will be held at the Tierra del Sol Golf Club. Designed by Robert
Trent Jones II, the Golf Course at Tierra del Sol Resort & Golf is situated on the scenic
northwest point of Aruba, providing breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea. The desert-
links course layout fully captures the elements of wind, sea, and earth to create a truly
exhilarating experience for golfers of all levels.
