POSITION DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Human Resources Manager The Disability Services Coordinator is responsible for the frontline delivery of quality support services provided to Including You service users. Services are provided to service JOB DESCRIPTION: users in accordance with their NDIS plan. • Support other teams with various administrative tasks (redirecting calls, disseminating correspondence, scheduling meetings etc.) • Respond to existing staff in a timely manner as required; • Enter staff and/or client notes as required; • Making sure all necessary paperwork is completed before commencing with employment with Including you. • Scheduling meetings and appointments within the office • Ensure day to day practice is consistent with standards, guidelines and procedures as directed by Including you. • Responding and organizing staff recruitment from beginning to end processes. Client Engagement • Coordinate the day to day operation of the Including you services and support the Support Co Ordinator’s and our staff on shift. • Complete client intake with the Director and user client checklist to complete all tasks. • Key Communications internal contacts, NDIS planners ,LACS, Support Coordinators, families and other formal and informal supports. • In collaboration develop and promote a team based approach to deliver client centered care and services. • Collaborate with clients, fostering an understanding of their needs and aspirations in order to explore options and develop actions that best meets their care needs. • Advocate internally and externally to ensure systems and services protects the rights of the service users and give greatest service user control over decision making. • Promote capacity building and social inclusion to maintain and promote independence. • Day to Day management of direct field staff. • Monitoring and ensuring appropriate and timely resolutions of client complaints and issues. Administration. Workcover • Ensure Workplace Health and Safety processes are followed in accordance with Victorian Legislation, procedures and processes. • Promote education and workplace performance that support safe workplace practices; • Maintain the work environment in a safe, clean and tidy manner; • Incidents and hazards reported immediately using designated procedures to an appropriate staff member and/or management; • Ensure a safe work environment is maintained for all employees; • Report workplace incidents and hazards, while assessing Policy development and maintenance • Assures the referral process is being adhered to and reflective of Including you’ s intake policy. • Ensures the maintenance of required templates and reporting tools. • Assists in setting, clarifying and communicating disability service standards and laws to staff and parents, when required or requested. • DINMA implementation within Including you. • DWES • Working with children’s • Child safe standards reporting Including You Job Description Template Version 1.0 January 2020 Page 5 of 8
•Follows and implements Including you Policy and procedures and systems, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. Including Child Safe, NDIS,Child Youth and family legislation • Analyzes data and reports an identity patterns of incidents or communication that needs to be raised to the Directors. • Reads and reviews legislation and other resources to keep abreast of current issues and trends related to the responsibilities of the job • Internal Incident reporting systems and adherence to the DHHS Major impact incidents and reporting back to DHHS . Compliance and continuous improvement. • Work practices and processes carried out according to quality guidelines; • Quality issues notified as soon as practicable to General Managers; • Government standards understood & complied with • Participation in review of SCCQ policies and processes ensuring alignment with SCCQ standards; • Contribute to continuous improvement culture that reviews indicators of client satisfaction and implement action to achieve results. • Other Rostering Duties • Responsible for implementing the Including You Rostering process. • Responsible for the gathering of shift information from support coordinators • Responsible for publishing the roster no later than 7 days prior to its implementation. • Communication written, email and phone calls to service users, families and other supports services. • Reporting to Director any issues with the rostering including patterns forming with service users shifts. • Adding new clients to Master Spread sheet, sending and email to Director to place new service user on easy employer. • Adding new staff onto Easy employer and Staff master spread sheet. • Induction of new Including you staff. Education qualification QUALIFICATIONS/ Human Resources Qualification REQUIREMENTS: Disability Qualitfication Management and Co ordination of activities and events Knowledge of Human Resources Management Knowledge of National Disability Insurance Model EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of Disability Field and other Main stream services. • A strong commitment to the values of Including You, including a recognition of service recipients‟ SKILLS: fundamental human rights and engagement in respectful conduct. • A professional attitude, along with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. • A willingness to try new things and be receptive to supervisor feedback and advice. • Ability to provide supports safely by following the NDIS goals and organizational policies and procedures, and by applying common sense and foresight. • Ability to effectively communicate through the use of clear and concise language, both written and oral, including the ability to write notes and reports. • Ability to work independently, using initiative and self-direction, within scope of practice. • Current First Aid and CPR qualification. • National Police Records Check.
