The Patrol @ AJ2019 • Strong emphasis on teamwork and leadership • A lot of decisions to be made at the patrol level • Leaders moved into more of a supervisory role than a ‘leading’ role • Every major activity will have some degree of a ‘Learning Outcome’ • Each Scout should get the opportunity to do something new

Offsite - Woodhouse • Scouting basics • Cooking, Camping, Pioneering, Rope skills, Adventurous activities • 2 Patrols and 1 leader x 3 cycles per troop • Patrols independent at Woodhouse Activity Centre • Overnight activity - Tents supplied • Arrive midday, depart 24 hours later • When arriving back onsite plenty of time to shower, unpack, nap, cleanup, relax
Offsite - City • Self guided, Mobile phone based tour through the city • Lots of small fun activities to attend • Lots of time to relax and have fun with friends • Finishing in either Glenelg or Pt Adelaide • (Depending on the stream they take) • Late arrival back onsite • Tea provided offsite
Offsite - Water • Wellington Marina • 4 Knott zone at all times • Artificial marina • >500m Water frontage • Army Museum of SA • Wet ‘n’ Windy

Leader Resources • Leaders Club, open from 1pm until 11pm, alcohol will only be served after 5pm. • Alcohol can only be purchased and consumed in the leaders club. • Leaders Business Centre • Leaders Tours (booked from FOH)
GASTRONOMIC TOUR – $15.00 • Melba’s Chocolate Factory – Open 9:00am – 4:30pm daily. Visit to the factory to see chocolate making and purchase from their extensive range in the shop. Each person will then be able to redeem $5.00 off purchases from the store; and • Woodside Cheese Wrights – Open 11:00am – 4:00pm daily. Visit to the Cheese Wrights at Woodside for tasting and information on cheese making in the region. Again as with Melba’s Chocolate Factory each person will be able to redeem $5.00 off purchases at the shop.
DAY TRIP – Monarto Zoo - $35.00 Tuesday 8th or Thursday 10th January 2019 A bus will take leaders to Monarto and collect at 3:00pm in the afternoon. Monarto Zoo is the biggest open-range zoo in Australia, and indeed one of the largest in the world, spanning more than 1,500 hectares and home to more than 50 species of exotic and native mammals, birds and reptiles. You can actually fit every major zoo in Australia in Monarto Zoo and still have land left over! Monarto Zoo is home to many of Africa’s most impressive animals and also one of Australia’s largest lion prides and giraffe herds. Monarto Zoo opened in 1983 as a breeding and pasture area. Since officially opening to the public in October 1993, Monarto Zoo is now home to more than 500 animals roaming in vistas as far as the eye can see. It’s an escape from the city that immerses visitors in a natural safari-style setting.
DAY TRIP – Wine Tasting – Langhorne Creek - $50.00 BLEASDALE WINERY Visit to Bleasdale Winery at Langhorne Creek for a guided tour of the winery and tastings in the Cellar Door. We will also stock Bleasdale Wines at the Leaders Bar along with order forms should people wish to purchase to take home. Orders will be placed and collected the last day of the event so they can be packed or alternatively orders can be shipped directly home at a cost of $14.00 per 12 bottle case. BREMERTON WINERY After Bleasdale, the bus will continue to Bremerton Winery also in Langhorne Creek for more tastings and a lunch. Again, leaders can choose to place orders to be shipped home or we can arrange collection on the 11th to be packed ready to go. Lunch will be provided with some shared platters followed by specialty gourmet pizza and a glass of wine.
