Invitation August, 2018 To Prospective Sponsor/Exhibitor I hope all is going well with you and your organization. We are delighted to introduce the 2019 Transgenic Technology Meeting (TT2019), a major event of the International Society for Transgenic Technologies, Inc. (ISTT) < https://www.transtechsociety.org/index.php >, to be held on April 7-10, 2019, in the lively metropolitan city of Kobe, Japan. We cordially invite your organization to participate as a sponsor and/or an exhibitor. The TT Meeting provides an international venue for fostering active scientific information exchanges and education amongst participants with a goal of advancing the technologies in genetically engineered animal models. TT2019 represents something of a milestone, the 15th holding of this event since its inception. This memorable occasion for the ISTT will be hosted for the first time in Japan. The main host of TT2019 is RIKEN Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR), one of the strategic life science research centers of the RIKEN Institute, Japan’s largest comprehensive research organization for basic and applied sciences. It is also co-sponsored by the Molecular Biology Society of Japan. Our plan for TT2019 is to incorporate diverse topics in transgenic technologies, not limited to mouse research, but also a variety of other animal models in biomedical and applied sciences. We anticipate a large body of delegates from all over the world, creating an exceptional occasion of scientific and social comingling with a global perspective. This will also be an outstanding opportunity for your organization to introduce its activity and products to an international audience. We would greatly appreciate your kind consideration on this invitation to participate in such a unique and productive opportunity, and we sincerely look forward to hearing favorably back from you. Respectfully yours, Yasuhide Furuta, Ph.D. Organizing Committee Chair The 15th Transgenic Technology Meeting (TT2019) 1
Conference Summary 1. CONFERENCE TITLE: The 15th Transgenic Technology Meeting (TT2019) 2. HOST / MAIN SPONSOR The International Society for Transgenic Technologies, Inc. RIKEN The Molecular Biology Society of Japan (Co-Sponsor) 3. DATE Sunday, April 7, 2019 - Wednesday, April 10 4. VENUE Kobe International Conference Center 6-9-1 Minatojima-nakamachi, Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo 650-0046, JAPAN TEL: 078-302-5200 https://kobe-cc.jp/en/visitors/ 5. AIMS and PERSPECTS OF THE CONFERENCE Since its inception in 1999 prior to the establishment of the ISTT, the TT meeting has been held around the world, mainly in Europe and North America alternatively, with occasional appearances in Australia and China in 2006 and 2013, respectively. In response to voices expressing a strong desire to hold it in the east again, we are delighted to host the next TT Meeting (TT2019) in Japan for the first time at its memorable 15th holding. The TT Meeting series is one of the most important attributes of ISTT. Through this meeting, ISTT aims to promote information exchange and education on the global scale with a focus on technological innovation in the production of transgenic animals and facility management, thus in turn, to contribute to scientific progress. TT Meeting is also an exceptionally unique event that allows research staff at all levels (not only researchers with doctorate degrees, but also facility managers, technologists and students who normally have rare opportunities to participate in international conferences) to gain knowledge on new technologies. An outstanding program has been developed for TT2019 that allows discussion on a wide range of topics from classical genetic manipulation technologies, latest innovations in genome editing, facility management to ethics of animal experiments. The conference also contributes to succession of important common technologies and knowledge in the fields. It is expected that the majority of the delegates will be international participants, mainly from North America and Europe, as well as many other regions of the globe, making TT 2019 an exceptional occasion for your organization to interact with researchers and technical staff internationally. 2
