About Us Founded by Dr. Cheng Yu-tung and his family members in 2012. Intergeneration Behind the big data, we know… • Aged people are more vulnerable to loneliness and social isolation; • Lack of a social role and participation after retirement; • Living arrangement also limits the opportunity of multigenerational interactions Strong evidence that loneliness and social isolation linked to serious health conditions including premature death, dementia, heart disease, stroke, depression etc. In fact, all ages are affected by loneliness and social isolation after the pandemic. #Restore Human Connectedness
Intergeneration Intergenerational Program intentionally unite the generations in ways that enrich participants’ lives and help address vital social and community issues while building on the positive resources that young and old have to offer each other and to their communities. These programs bring people of different generations together for ongoing, mutually beneficial, planned activities, designed to achieve specified program goals and promote greater understanding and respect between generations. Project Sharing Community Rest Space Project Brief: Tripartite collaboration among NGOs, community and business sector, the project aims at utilizing idle venue and human resources (women in community) to provide respite service for carers of children and the elderly. In Phase II, the project expand its impact by facilitating IG in its services. Different IG models are under prototype process to enhance the wellbeing of both young and old participants. Project Sharing The “SOUK 2.0” Community Housing Movement Project Brief: Aims to establish a simulated family support network for single residents through a three-generation co-housing model (18-30 Youth, 30-54 Middle age, 55+ elderly) . How Intergenerational (IG) Project Changes Lives Child Wellbeing Objective: Enhancing and strengthening the competence on coping with the tensional relationship among multi- generational families’ members especially between in-laws as it affects the wellbeing of a child in the family. Achievements: Developing an Education Resource Kit and Evidence- based Research and key findings related to multigenerational family relationship by Hong Kong Shue Yan University.
How Intergenerational (IG) Project Changes Lives Family Wellbeing Objective: Promoting family relationship in transgenerational families and bringing awareness of the importance of maximizing the potential and strength of each generation in the transgenerational network. Achievements: Published a research paper on the understanding of the dynamic of Chinese transgenerational families and the transgenerational approach that was developed through this project has proven to be an effective approach to foster individual development and family-of-origin intimacy simultaneously.
How Intergenerational (IG) Project Changes Lives Happy & Healthy Ageing Objective: Taking a proactive role in facilitating ‘third agers’ in building harmonious multi-generational families in an ageing society. Achievements: Generated valuable data through the comprehensive program components and the findings will be shared with the Employees Retraining Board and Education Bureau.
How Intergenerational (IG) Project Changes Lives Family for SDGs Objective: Promoting elderly lifelong learning, intergenerational harmony and establishing an active community with deep sense of ownership to strive for a better planet. Expected achievements: Both grandparents and grandchildren will learn more about environment conservation and health & sustainable lifestyle through various workshops and real-life practice.

Eligible Applicants • Each organization can only submit 1 Concept Note. • Charitable organizations with the tax-exempt status or in the process of applying for tax-exemption under section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance • Collaboration is welcome: – Collaboration with NGO – Collaboration with Social Enterprise - must be registered under any one of the followings: ▪ Social Enterprise Business Centre ▪ Fullness Social Enterprises Society ▪ Hong Kong General Chamber of Social Enterprises This material may not be reproduced or distributed, in whole or in part, without prior written permission from ACS.
Project Requirements • Project funding: HK 800,000 • Project duration must be at least 1-year. • Project services must be delivered in Hong Kong, and at least one of the target beneficiary groups must reside in Hong Kong. • The proposed project can be an existing project or a new one. Projects that have secured partial funding are also welcome. • Project must be commenced no later than 6 months after signing the funding agreement. Funding disbursement and Reporting • 50% of the funding will be disbursed at project commencement. The remaining 50% will be disbursed as per funding agreement. • Successful applicants should submit an interim report and a final report.
