TEAM SPOTLIGHT Contributed by Jereme Reeths Over the last month, we had several projects at Tyson Foods. We installed two Rytec roll-up doors, with the exist- ing opening for one of them needing to be enlarged. In- creasing the space to make the door fit was not an easy task in a food plant because of the mess it created! After getting the doors done, we started working on the Alkar Oven project. We were tasked with building 140’ of temporary walls around the oven, demolishing the concrete floor, pouring new floors and installing the new brick around the ovens. The ovens are scheduled to begin production on May 17. While the oven project was ongoing, we also refin- ished two offices, one in Health Services and one in Human Resources. These projects took place on weekends, holidays and off hours, often with long shifts. Tyson is a unique place to work.
