WELCOME N EW AS RC STA F F Allen Senior Recreation Center welcomes its newest Recreation Specialist I, Cheryl Drennan. Cheryl is married with three boys and has lived in Allen for 27 years. Her sons are active in sports and she enjoys attending all their games. She worked part-time at Reed Elementary School for the past three years before coming on board at Allen Senior Recreation Center. Her past work experience has been in administrative and customer service. She loves photography and travel. She completed a Digital Photography Certificate through Collin College. She belongs to the groups Dallas Center of Photography and American Society of Media Photographers. She is CHERYL DRENNAN Recreation Specialist I also an active volunteer with her church and the schools where her boys attend in Allen. 21

A variety of programs, trips, special events, activities and classes are offered at low-cost or free. Membership to the Center is only $5 a year for residents and $24 a year for non-residents. Resident rates include City of Allen citizens and employees working for businesses, corporations or organizations in the City of Allen. Proof of residency requires both a current water bill and driver’s license. Proof of employment in Allen requires a recent paycheck stub.
