   Artistic Director
   As a platform artist Renee has over 22 years of experience in precision cutting and session work. Her vision,
   technical ability, and enthusiasm for the fashion industry has influenced her to look at not only the strong classic
   shapes, but to expand into the Avant-Garde genre as well. As an international educator with UNITE and with a strong
   passion for helping stylists succeed; education has brought Renee around the world sharing her knowledge.

   JESSE GAINES
   Artistic Team Member
   Jesse discovered he had a gift and a passion for cutting hair at a young age. Since his beginnings as an apprentice
   under leading educators, Jesse has always understood how vital education is to the success of a hairdresser. As a
   believer in continuing education, Jesse has completed advanced training from UNITE and several other professional
   hair care companies. Four years ago, Jesse partnered with a life-long friend to start their own salon, Moss Hair
   Studio. His 17+ years as a professional hairstylist have taught him what it takes to thrive in the industry. Jesse wants
   to pass his knowledge on by equipping stylists with the knowledge, tools, and the inspiration they need to thrive in
   the beauty industry!

   ALANN SLUSER
   Master Colorist
   From a young age, Alann Sluser has always had a keen eye for colour. Her reputation in colour changes and
   corrections has made her the go-to for show stopping colour! Alann has a customized approach to colour: treat
   each head of hair as its own masterpiece. Her passion is to create beautiful colour that perfectly complements ones
   complexion, personality, fashion and lifestyle. Education is also important to her, she believes that as artists, we
   should never stop learning and growing.

   MICHAEL POLSINELLI
   Davines Artistic Team
   Michael Polsinelli has been pushing the creative boundaries in our industry for over 20 years. His creative designs
   have influenced hairdressers all over the world and has set trends that have been followed by hairdressers today.
   His motivation being self discovery, has led him to create his own cutting methodology called Fusion Cutting and
   Design. This newly formed education system has served him well as he has become a world acclaimed Art Director
   for some of the industries finest. Michael’s journey to success started in his home town of Toronto, Canada, born
   into a family of hairdressers. His talent was recognized by an industry icon, Robert Lobetta and together they forged
   an incredible body of work spanning almost a decade. Polsinelli’s achievements include working in the TV industry,
   fashion week, salon owner, Global Art Director, producing close to a 100 cutting and creative collections globally,
   platform artist and he has enjoyed performing for thousands of hairdressers at Gala Trend Events around the world.
   In 2008, Michael embarked on a new adventure which relocated him to Europe. With his complete and in depth
   education system, he thought it was time to open an Academy in the heart of Florence, Italy. He now resides just
   outside Los Angeles, CA where he represents Davines and serves as one of their Top Artists.

   PULP RIOT TEAM
   David and Alexis Thurston, creators of nationally recognized brands Butterfly Loft and Butterfly Circus, are the
   architects behind Pulp Riot, an innovative new hair color company that empowers stylists to think of themselves as
   artists while providing them with superior paint to create their masterpieces. Together, with the Pulp Riot team is on
   a mission to create a whole new kind of culture, by taking a collaborative approach with stylists across the world
   through social media, innovative education, and revolutionary products, with an aim to unify a community of artistic
   beauty professionals.

APRIL MCDOUGALD
Joico Artist
April’s philosophy is simple – healthy, beautiful hair always looks best. She discovered her love of hair in 1999 and
after completing her training in 2001, she became a member of the Joico education team. Since then, April has
taught many classes and showcased her talents at events across Canada. April is an approachable and talented
colorist with a special passion for vibrant Color Intensity work. Using color as her medium, she strives to bring out
the essence of every client by creating a look that’s perfect for their individual style.

MITCH BONALDI
Joico Artist
American Guest Artist Mitch Bonaldi, is continuously pushing to achieve the next best thing. Hairstyling is not just
a job to Mitch, it is his craft. Born into the industry through his family owned salon, Mitch has always been drawn
to the Artistic world. His raw talent for beauty comes naturally, however Mitch believes a strong attitude and
willingness persevere outweighs any given talent. Mitch started his career assisting International Icon Vivienne
Mackinder in Global events such as New York Fashion week. With his rare exposure in New York, Mitch was
introduced to Celebrity Artist Paul Norton and invited to join the National Joico Artistic team. Continuing to work
with Vivienne, Paul, and Joico, Mitch creatively organizes time to maintain his exploding cliental while engaging in
frequent professional photo shoots with well known celebrities such as Victoria Justice. Remaining humble, Mitch
realizes the value in opportunity and never fails to seize his chances. With that being said Mitch inspires other
hairstylists to achieve their goals by working hard, embracing fear as a step toward personal growth and installing
the importance of individual recognition

Award winning hair stylist Melissa Duguay has established herself as a creative professional with an instinctive
ability to bring out the unique beauty of each subject. Her style may range from clean simplicity to rogue bursts of
unexpected color, and her exquisite precision and flawless technique are consistently impeccable. Her passion,
dedication, and innovative creations have built her a successful and dynamic career. A gifted artist, unparalleled
colorist and truly caring and warm individual, Melissa epitomizes the true spirit of Joico artistry.

PHILLIP WILSON
International Creative Director
Amazing, creative, powerfully inspirational and a whole lot of fun – these are just some of the dynamic ways
salon owners and stylists describe ColorProof’s International Creative Director, Phillip Wilson. Phillip is a Beauty
Industry icon who has showcased his artistic talent at New York Fashion Week, the Sundance Film Festival, and
the Grammys. Modern Salon magazine voted Phillip one of the most influential hairdressers of the past 100 years
and BE! (Beauty Entertainment) magazine named him number one educator in North America for two years in a
row. Phillip trained with grandmasters from all over Europe while interacting with fashion elite and royalty prior to
moving to North America. Since then, he has gained experience as a salon owner, educational leader, creative
director and world- renowned platform artist. Known for his dynamic energy and down-to-earth style, spending
time with Phillip is life-changing. As International Creative Director for ColorProof Color Care Authority, Phillip
continues his legacy through artistic leadership utilizing his expertise in his signature cutting techniques combined
with his thorough understanding of ColorProof’s superior product performance.
