1   You still have no idea about your programme’s structure, examinations and study

2   Ask, ask, ask! Having a lot of questions at the beginning of your studies is very
    normal. Don’t hesitate to ask whenever you have a question. Your programme
    coordinators, classmates, lecturers or study advisory service staff – they are all
    there for you during your time at Reutlingen University (see page 12).

3   Get involved! There are many student groups which you are welcome to join. IB has
    its own IB vision and StuCo (student committee) groups where you can meet fellow
    students from higher semesters and get involved in a range of activities. You will get
    more information on these groups during the orientation days. Moreover, the
    university also has its own student parliament (StuPa) and oikos, a sustainability
    group which welcome students from all schools.

4   Make use of our many support services! During the semester, Reutlingen University
    offers student support in different areas. Get advice at weekly math workshops in

    Get to know studierenplus! This diverse extracurricular programme allows you to
    gain complementary skills and competences as an add-on to your regular degree
    programme. Courses range from foreign languages, intercultural communication,
    ethics and sustainability to professional development classes. The category “Studi-
    enstart” features research and study skills classes that are especially designed for
    new students. All classes are optional, extracurricular, non-ECTS activities.

The Tübingen-Hohenheim Student Union is responsible for a broad range of support ser-
