General Information
Il Cammino della Solidarietà (The Solidarity Walk) is a very important appointment to concretely support the
microeconomy of the Inner Areas of Central Italy seriously compromised by the 2016 earthquakes and
discover territories of rare beauty, surrounded by art, nature and history that only the slowness of traveling
on foot allows you to fully enjoy. This year the Program of the Fourth Edition includes a Prologue, which
will take us to admire breathtaking views, first on the valley of Norcia, then, once on top of the Forca di
Ancarano, on the Sibillini Mountains on the side of the Val Castoriana. In the days to follow, as in the past,
the first Three Stages of the Way of St. Benedict, along the valleys and mountains of Umbria and Lazio.
An Event free of charge and open to all, with logistical accommodations to be paid for and organized in
total autonomy by the participants. Registration is mandatory, preferably online. However, it will be
appreciated a free voluntary contribution that will be donated to charity to local organizations.

Those who wish to use the shuttle service from Leonessa on 13 April to return to Norcia/Cascia or Spoleto
(Departure from Porta Spoletina around 16-16.30), cost 20€/person, please note this in the application form.
In order to make the booking effective, it is necessary to reclaim this amount by specifying the number of
participants, if more than one, specifying the destination Norcia/Cascia or Spoleto.

Project Ponti di Vista (Bridges of Sight): a sensory glance at the Walks of Italy. Blind and visually impaired
people will be guided by voluntary guides at no extra cost. If you have specific needs or impairments,
whatever they may be, please inform us, we will do everything possible so that you can come with us.
The Credential of the Cammino di San Benedetto (The Way of St. Benedict) is available as a free offer to
the Friends of the Pilgrim's Way Association for the maintenance and promotion of the Way. A nice souvenir
of the route made and, presented in Montecassino, allows you to collect the Testimonium, the certificate of

pilgrimage. Moreover, it allows you to take advantage of the prices agreed upon at the pilgrim
accommodation facilities along the way. The Credential can be collected at the departure in Norcia, or via
internet by filling out the request on www.camminodibenedetto.it/credenziale (select English language),
it will arrive by mail.

Directions to Norcia
The nearest railway station is SPOLETO, about 40 km away. The connection to Norcia is provided by the bus
service leaving from the square in front of the station and it takes about 1 hour. For all information consult

If you arrive by car, you can park it in the square of Spoleto station and get on the bus to Norcia or leave it
in Norcia and pick it up at the end of the walk with the shuttle service we have organized from Leonessa.
Accommodations and Restaurants

experts in these places. Important to remember that prices are indicative, they may be subject to change,
you should always ask for confirmation. When booking in restaurants or accommodations with half board

Important Note: For those who want to stay overnight in Monteleone di Spoleto from Saturday, the Pro
Ruscio Association will provide an 8-seater shuttle and the Municipality of Monteleone one to 18 seats
for the transport of walkers to the planned stage at no additional cost. From Cascia on Saturday at 18:45
a public transport will connect to Monteleone, while on Sunday morning the shuttle service will take care
of bringing pilgrims back to Cascia in time to participate in the stage. At the same time, it will take care of
accompanying those sleeping in Ruscio (where there are no restaurants) to the facilities where they will
want to book their meal, both on Saturday and Sunday. The Hotel Brufa also has its own vehicle, with 8
seats, which can be used to transport its guests who will stay at least 2 nights. It is recommended to report
your transport needs to all accommodation facilities.
