Alpha Epsilon Pi Sigma Eta Chapter Mission: Our mission is to help brothers cultivate their character, learn responsibility, and develop a proper set of values through engaging with each other as a brotherhood. We also have the highest GPA on campus, and have been accredited with excellence every year. Lastly, being a traditionally Jewish fraternity, it is important to note that men of all backgrounds and religions are welcome to join. In regards to this, our chapter is fairly diverse. As long as men envision and uphold the mission of Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi), we believe that they deserve to be a part of our brotherhood. History: The Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity was founded in 1913 at NYU. AEPi has grown globally ever since, with chapters in Austria, Canada, England, France, Ireland, and Scotland. Our chapter (Sigma Eta) was recognized by Lehigh in 2015. We first acquired our on-campus chapter house during the 2017-2018 school year. The current 2018-2019 school year has been the first year living in the house. It has been completely renovated, and has been an all around great experience. Lehigh Involvement: Our brothers are active on campus, leading every Jewish and Israel-focused organization and shaping Lehigh culture through the Gryphon Society, The Brown and White, Student Senate, the Association of Student Alumni (ASA), Global Citizenship, Varsity Track & Field, and more. Philanthropy: Sunday cleanup is a biweekly event hosted by AEPi where we walk the streets around campus and pick up trash. This year we have expanded the event, as every week we have a different sports team join us, in addition to other Greek chapters. We have also gone further into the South Bethlehem community, cleaning up a number of local parks. Adopt a Family is an event ran by Athletics that AEPi has participated in for the last few years. We are given a local South Bethlehem family to buy presents for during the holiday season, a family that is experiencing financial hardship. This is a great way for us to give back to the south Bethlehem community, and put smiles on the faces of the less fortunate. ALPHA TAU OMEGA LEHIGH UNIVERSITY “To bind men together in a brotherhood based upon eternal and immutable principles, with a bond as strong as right itself and as lasting as humanity” Philanthropy: Giving back to the community is one of ATO’s main priorities. Events such as our annual Buddy Bash raise thousands of dollars for charitable causes. In addition, our members attend and donate to events such as Adopt a Family, The Polar Plunge, Southside Cleanup, and Relay for Life. Leadership Development: By joining ATO, new members will begin understanding the importance of leadership within an organization. With so many different positions in the chapter, most members will gain real life experience of leadership. 100% of our members are involved in at least one other organization at Lehigh with most holding leadership positions. Professional Development: ATO places a high priority on developing our careers. Through networking events, alumni meetings, and advice from experienced members, young men gain the advice necessary to begin a long and successful career in whichever field they desire. We also host semiannual Faculty BBQ’s to network with our Professors outside of class. The best and most unique part about ATO is that there is no stereotypical ATO Brotherhood: brother. Each member has something distinctive about them, and it is these It is at this house where you learn so diverse experiences that when we come together make us all the more well- much about the members of ATO and rounded as a chapter. Psi Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity Mission Chi Phi’s mission is to build better men through lifelong friendships, leadership opportunities, and character development. Chi Phi is truly a value based organization, dedicated to the successful scholarship of their men, and we are excited to watch this organization grow in the coming semesters. Values Chi Phi values itself on truth, honor, and personal integrity. We seek men who value these characteristics in their own life. History Chi Phi was founded on December 24, 1824 at the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University). Independently in 1858, The Southern Order of Chi Phi was founded at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and two years later, in 1860, the Secret Order of Chi Phi was founded at Hobart College. In 1867, the Princeton Order and the Secret Order learned of each other’s existence. In 1872, the Psi Chapter was founded at Lehigh University. Finally, in 1874, there was a meeting in Washington D.C., and the Northern and Southern Orders merged to create the Chi Phi Fraternity. The Psi Chapter has been active since its origin in 1872 making it the longest standing fraternity at Lehigh. Our chapter house, “Briarfield” Interests Our brothers have a wide array of interests. You can find us playing basketball, shooting pool, playing video games, listening to and playing music, doing homework together, etc. The list goes on and on. At Chi Phi, we center brotherhood events around these interests. Whenever there’s a big game on, most of the brothers are in our chapter room watching the game together. We also support our brothers around campus. At every sporting event or concert with a brother participating, you can find many Chi Phis in the stands supporting him. Lehigh Involvement Outside of the classroom, Chi Phis can be found in all aspects of the Lehigh community. Our brothers are members of Student Senate, The Gryphon Society, Varsity Sports, Club Sports, Lehigh’s Orchestra, Formula SAE, Lehigh Dance Marathon, and many other clubs and organizations. Our chapter also prides itself on our success in Lehigh’s Intramural Sports league. Chi Phi has won the championship three years in a row, and we are in a strong position to defend our titles. We do not believe that being in a fraternity should be the only extracurricular activity, and at no point will being in a fraternity prohibit you from doing what you want. We encourage our brothers to be involved as much as possible. Philanthropy Chi Phi gets involved around campus in any way they can for Philanthropy and Community Service. Our primary organization that we support is The Boys and Girls Club of America, but we support many organizations and causes beyond that. Chi Phi was a big supporter of Lehigh Dance Marathon this year, and we also co-hosted an event with AOPi and ROTC on Veteran’s Day as well.
Chi Psi Mission Chi Psi is a private fraternity of gentlemen devoted to the personal and collective needs of its members. A selective association of diverse individuals, Chi Psi is dedicated to the cultivation of a unique environment which instills a lifelong commitment to brotherhood. The mission of the Chi Psi Fraternity is to create and maintain an enduring society which encourages the sharing of traditions and values, respect for oneself and others, and responsibility to the university and community. History Chi Psi was founded at Union College in 1841 as the eighth fraternity established in the nation. In 1894, Chi Psi Alpha Beta Delta chapter was established at Lehigh University and has been an active chapter ever since. Notable Chi Psi brothers include Bill Belichick, the founder of General Mills, the co-founder of Merrill Lynch, and various public servants including congressmen, senators, and governors. Interests and Extra Curricular Chi Psi Alpha Beta Delta has been largely involved in sports at Lehigh University, especially in football. Many of the non-collegiate athletes in Chi Psi participated in high school athletics and remain active in their respective sports through clubs and intramurals. Off the fields and courts, Chi Psi supports our community through philanthropy events and other volunteer work. Just this year we have participated in a community clean up, a christmas present drive for the local middle school, and coordinated a fundraiser with Chipotle in which 33% of the proceeds were donated to the Victory House program to help victims of addiction. Later this year we will participate in the annual Relay for Life and are planning a major fundraiser for Alzheimer's research. We are always looking for ways to better ourselves and our community through our philanthropy work. Leadership Chi Psi provides more than 10 leadership positions, which not only look good on a resume, but offer invaluable real-life experience that most college students are not ordinarily exposed to. Our treasurer manages a budget of over $100,000, and our Philanthropy Chairman organizes and executes effective charity work, to name a few. In addition, other positions help coordinate the social calendar with multiple sororities, organize our in-house meal plan, oversee recruitment, and other often overlooked responsibilities inherited by joining a fraternity. These positions are appointed through elections, but any member enthusiastic in pursuing the goals of Chi Psi will likely find a position to take on.
“We, the members of The Delta Chi Fraternity, believing that great advantages are to be derived from a brotherhood of college and university men, appreciating that close association may promote friendship, develop character, advance justice, and assist in the acquisition of a sound education, do ordain and establish this Constitution” PROMOTING FRIENDSHIP Delta Chi exists to promote friendship in its members. Delta Chi was founded on the principle of bringing together men of similar interests to work towards a common good. DEVELOPING CHARACTER Character is good sportsmanship. Character is academic success and integrity. Character is holding yourself and others to a higher standard. Character is doing the right thing. The character of a man is the greatest measure of his potential. In Delta Chi, character is a core value and the cornerstone of the Fraternity. Challenging yourself to take a leadership role, to chair a committee, to be the point guard for the intramural basketball team, to tutor another member in Calculus, or to simply be a member who lives according to the values of the Ritual all work to help develop your individual character. ADVANCING JUSTICE Originally founded as a law fraternity, Delta Chi still holds as its cardinal principle: the perpetuation of justice in society. A Delta Chi is always concerned with doing the right thing, even when it might not be the popular thing to do. This is an everyday value that all men should practice and a value that, as a member of Delta Chi, you will be expected to live. ASSISTING IN THE ACQUISITION OF A SOUND EDUCATION The reason you chose to go to college was to get an education. Delta Chi will help you make that happen. Going from high school to college is a stressful life change, and whatever you can do to make it less stressful, the better. To increase the odds of becoming academically successful, Delta Chi can provide you with a support network around your college experience. This can be in the form of study groups, note files, mentoring by upperclassmen, and advice from the chapter’s faculty advisor. Success breeds success. In addition to the undergraduate services, the Delta Chi Educational Foundation provides members with scholarship opportunities based on academic success and campus involvement. If you’re looking for academic support and success, Delta Chi can provide that. PHILANTHROPY AND SERVICE Delta Chi’s national philanthropy is the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research. We, as the Lehigh Chapter, also like to dedicate our time and resources to helping out our local community, South Bethlehem.
Delta Upsilon Chapter Information: The Lehigh Delta Upsilon was founded on October 12, 1885 with the founding principals of Promotion of Friendship, Development of Character, Diffusion of Liberal Culture, and Advancement of Justice. Delta Upsilon has a rich history of being one of the first nationally founded fraternities with a mission to end secrecy and hazing within the greek community. At Lehigh, DU was also one of the first fraternities on the hill, and it’s beautiful chapter house has been home to hundreds of brothers over the years. Philanthropy: Delta Upsilon’s national philanthropy, Global Service Initiative(GSI) sends fellow brothers to Jamaica for a week during the winter or summer. Brothers who participate help volunteer building schools and churches and interact with the local community. On campus, DU has two main philanthropy events. These are Lassoing Leukemia, for cancer research, and a Huntington’s Disease Charity walk. Community Service: Members of DU are actively involved in the community. We participate in events such as Adopt-A-Family, in which we provide gifts for those in needs, as well as off campus street cleanup and park cleanups. Academics: Delta Upsilon is one of the top academic houses on the hill. Multiple brothers are TA’s for various classes, and they bring this knowledge back into the house to help brothers. Brothers are in a variety of majors, from the business school to the engineering school. Multiple brothers are also in cross disciplinary programs, like IBE, CSB, and IDEAS. Interests/Activities: Delta Upsilon prides itself on being a very diverse house, with global brothers who are involved in a variety of activities around campus. From the rugby and football team, to club baseball and intramural sports, DU is a very athletic and competitive house. Friendly competition amongst the brothers drives the friendships that have been formed here. Along with sports, brothers are involved in performing arts including the choir, and various campus organizations.
Pennsylvania Eta Chapter Mission Helping every individual to meet his true potential is the bedrock of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. By celebrating each person’s true self, and by learning from each other’s strengths while helping to improve each other’s weaknesses, every member of Phi Delta Theta develops into a greater version of himself than he could ever on his own. Rather than try to find young men to “mold” into some ideal, we celebrate the uniqueness of each individual and, through encouragement, values, example and brotherhood, empower every brother to exceed his personal expectations. Values Phi Delta Theta was built on three pillars that haven’t budged an inch since its founding 169 years ago. The pillars are: The cultivation of friendship among its members, the acquirement individually of a high degree of mental culture, and the attainment personally of a high standard of morality. History Since its founding in 1848, Phi Delta Theta has amassed 190 chapters and colonies and approximately 178,000 living alumni and 100 alumni clubs in the United States and Canada. Lehigh’s PA Eta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta was originally founded in 1876, in what is now known as the “Umoja” house. Philanthropy Phi Delta Theta’s membership is committed to supporting the fight against ALS in honor of Phi Delta Theta member and baseball great, Lou Gehrig, who passed away from ALS, now commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Each year, hundreds of thousands of dollars are raised to fight ALS through the efforts of Phi Delta Theta members, both undergraduates and alumni. Our Chapter Our brotherhood represents 40+ clubs and organizations across campus including the Brown and White, CSBA, Lehigh in Uganda, American Society of Civil Engineers, Big Brothers Big Sisters, SPAC, Community Service Office, SASE, Finance Club, Phi Sigma Tau, ROTC, Outing Club, and many more.
Phi Sigma Kappa Phi Sigma Kappa is a lifelong brotherhood dedicated to the betterment of the individual, the university community, and our world, by giving its members opportunities to develop leadership skills, participate in service to others, achieve academic excellence, experience cultural diversity and practice personal integrity. Our values revolve around our three cardinal principles: Promotion of Brotherhood, Stimulation of Scholarship, and the Development of Character. Our national chapter was founded at UMass Amherst in 1873, and was founded at Lehigh in 1901. Phi Sigma Kappa is the longest continuously running house on the hill. Our national philanthropy is the Special Olympics, and a couple times a semester we go to their events to help run and manage their sporting events, in addition to an annual polar plunge. Another philanthropy event we do is the Blue Light Ball, an annual event where we raise money and awareness for sexual assault victims on college campuses. We also co-host Candyland for Casa and participate in the adopt-a-family event during the holidays. The nice amenities we enjoy at the Phi Sigma Kappa chapter house is that our food is owned by the chapter, allowing us to utilize the kitchen whenever you want within the price of the food plan, which is not a commonplace on the hill. As well we are one of the few houses on the hill with a deep fryer which brothers use around the clock to make chicken tenders, french fries, mozzarella sticks, mac-n-cheese bites, and deep fried oreos. In addition to this, we have a pool table and PS4 set up in our chapter room, and every single bedroom in our chapter house is a single.
Psi Upsilon “United in friendship, Psi Upsilon members aspire to moral, intellectual, and social excellence in themselves as they seek to inspire these values in society.”—Psi Upsilon Mission Statement As Brothers of Psi Upsilon our values are as follows: Intellectual Engagement, Moral Leadership, Community Outreach, Lifelong Friendship, Responsible Social Conduct. It is our goal to instill these values in all members in the hopes of making them better men, and use them as guidelines within our recruitment process. The history of the Eta and that of Lehigh have been intertwined since the early days of this chapter’s existence. We count among our alumni the “Architect” of Lehigh, Theodore C. Visscher, class of 1899. Not only did he build our chapter House on campus, but he was also very influential in the construction of the Alumni Memorial Building, the addition to the original rotunda of Linderman Library, and several other buildings in the early Twentieth Century. Another notable alumnus is William C. Anderson, class of 1894, who was a founder of the Brown and White, our semi-weekly student newspaper. Our newspaper’s predecessor, the Lehigh Burr, was started by Charles C. Hopkins, class of 1882, yet another member of the Eta Chapter of Psi Upsilon. Our Alumni's reach is all around us, like Scott Belair, class of 1969, who helped found a once small apparel store now known as Urban Outfitters. Our fraternity provides a wide group of brothers from very differing cultural and ethnic backgrounds. This diversity allows for many there to be many interests accumulated in our house ranging from cooking to athletics to gaming and allows for new members to broaden their interests out of their original comfort zones. These interests have also allowed for many brotherhood development events that the majority of us take part in on a weekly basis such as gathering to watch a PPV UFC Fight, Pizza and Wing night, and trips to go Paintballing or Go Karting. Psi Upsilon recognizes that we are part of a school that is rich in history, talented individuals and motivated groups. We believe that it is important to give back to the university through co-programming with different organizations and through participation in meaningful educational activities. Activities within Lehigh’s campus include participation in Lehigh’s Relay for Life, the assistance during move in for incoming freshman (M.O.O.V.), taking part in Kappa Delta’s So You Think You Can Dance competition for Child Abuse Prevention, and ZTA Crown Royal Classic charity games. Psi Upsilon annually participates in Spooktacular by hosting a pumpkin carving station with trick-or- treat candy, water, and hot chocolate. Every year, we decorate the outside of the House and provide pumpkins for the kids to decorate or have carved. This year, we picked up approximately 200 large pumpkins and 50 smaller pumpkins from a local farm and transported them back to the House. We then cleaned and gutted them prior to the event so that they are ready to be carved. Adopt-A-Family has also become an annual event for our Chapter that each of our members enjoy. During the holidays some of the children in South Bethlehem are not as fortunate as some of us and they do not receive many gifts. The Adopt-A-Family program provides an opportunity for our Brotherhood to interact with the community in a positive way. Brothers assisted in purchasing, wrapping, and delivering useful items, totaling over $600, to children of a less fortunate family. The family Psi Upsilon adopted was extremely appreciative of the gifts, and overall the event was impactful for Psi Upsilon to see the effect its time and effort has on the community.

Theta Chi’s mission is to to provide its members with an enjoyable and fulfilling collegiate experience that also prepares them for rewarding, successful lives after graduation. We work to extend an “Assisting Hand” to one another both inside and outside of the classroom. We seek the mutual benefit and improvement of all our members and strive to serve our country and our fellow man. Theta Chi was founded at Norwich University in 1856. The Beta Sigma chapter was founded at Lehigh University in 1942. As a chapter, we enjoy working out, playing intramural sports, listening to music, enjoying the outdoors, and watching sports. We also like working closely with other greek organizations on philanthropy events to benefit our community. We have members involved throughout campus as tour guides, student senators, and various clubs on campus. We also have a house band that plays several shows each semester. Theta Chi has a national partnership with the United Service Organization, the nation’s leading organization to serve the men and women in the U.S. military, and their families. As a chapter, we host events to support the USO, as well as St. Baldrick’s Foundation.
Theta Xi ETA Chapter The mission of Theta Xi is to breed personal growth and development between the brothers and the brotherhood community. As well as learning to live with others in a healthy, supportive environment. In addition, we as a chapter are constantly looking to make a difference within the Lehigh community and the surrounding communities. Our values at Theta Xi are to support academic success within our chapter as well as emotional support amongst all brothers. As a chapter we very much value our reputation as a fraternity and are constantly looking to better our public image by taking care of the Lehigh and Bethlehem community. Theta Xi was founded on April 29, 1864 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York as an engineering fraternity. All of the original founders were members of a local fraternity called Sigma Delta, established in 1859 to rival Theta Delta Chi, which was then a secret society at RPI. Theta Xi’s ETA Chapter at Lehigh was founded in 1872. The brothers of Theta Xi are very much involved in Lehigh’s community outside of Greek life. Some examples of our brother’s involvement include Programming club, FinTech, Lehigh Consulting Group, Club Lacrosse, Club Soccer and several intramural sports.
