2 3 ABOUT THIS REPORT EMPLOYER SURVEY RESULTS With the changes in our work environment during 2020 and into 2021 and beyond, workspace has become a challenge as we try to sustain a productive, compliant, and safe working environment. At the same time, many have experienced the benefits of remote working during this time such as shorter commutes, improved work-life balance, improved productivity and talent attraction. Governments in Ireland and HYBRID REMOTE internationally are investing in, and see the potential for, co-working facilities and hubs, in terms of supporting the needs of employers and staff in the current and future economic social landscape. WORKING MODEL In order to gain a deeper understanding of the changes, opportunities and challenges posed at this time, Cavan Digital Hub, a leading flexible workspace for digitally- focused companies, has conducted a survey to better understand the views of both the employer and the employee on pre and post COVID working patterns, commuting, remote working environment, broadband etc. The survey also asks participants to consider the challenges and the benefits of remote working going forward, particularly 2021 in the context of a new Hybrid Working Model for the future. This research was conducted by email, web-based survey and telephone to 400+ employers and employees working across Ireland. The response rate was over 25% and this report is a summary of the Employers views. A further report outlining the Employees views will follow shortly. Thank you for contributing to our survey and sharing your insights and experiences of working remotely and how we will work into the future.
