Step 1 and Step 2!!Question: What are the effects of BREXIT for Tuition Fees for the 1
year and 2 year stay for students aged between 16-19?
Currently: £5000 tuition fees is paid for by EU funding NOT the
German parents for 16-19 year old students.
Answer: We are not sure of the outcome of BREXIT negotiations in
terms of this remaining for 2019-20!
Solution: If Tuition Fees are NO LONGER FREE after BREXIT
negotiations, Huntington School will pay, for its Partner Schools:
1. £2000 of the tuition fees for the first year, meaning German
parents will have to pay only £3000 per year NOT £5000 per year.
2. Huntington School will pay ALL of the £5000 for the second year.
Our ‘Embrace England’ short stay camps pay for these subsidies and reduced host
family payments. No other state school in the UK is doing this and tells you our
commitment to keep educational bridges to Germany OPEN! Without the short
stay students we will not be able to offer these subsidies.Question: What are the effects of BREXIT for Tuition Fees for students wanting to complete 3 or 6 month stays? Answer: Shorter 3 or 6 month stays DO NOT qualify for any EU subsidies of Tuition Fees for students aged 15-19. However, host family payments are still subsidised. 3 month options: (Only available for students who have completed the short stay) 1: Monday 3rd September – Friday 21 Dec 2019 Cost £2000 (Half term- Monday 29 Oct to Friday 2nd November) 2: Monday 7th January – Friday 12th April 2020 Cost £ 2000 (Half term – Monday 25th February – Friday 1st March 2020) 3: Monday 29 April – Monday 30th June Cost £1000 (Half term- Monday 27 May to Friday 30th June) 6 month options: Any two consecutive options Cost £4000 (1&2) or £3000 (2&3)

Der/die Schüler/in
• muss zu Beginn des Schuljahres (1. Sept) zwischen 16 und 18 Jahre alt und EU
Bürger sein, damit keine Schulgebühren anfallen (nur so lange die Gebühren noch
von der EU getragen werden)
• muss nachweislich ein gutes Zeugnis vorlegen können
• muss für Unterkunft und Lebenshaltungskosten in der Gastfamilie bezahlen (£650
für Schüler unserer Partnerschulen, £850 für alle anderen Schüler) ca. €750,00 pro
Monat, je nach Umtauschkurs)
• ist für alle Reisekosten selbst verantwortlich
3 – und 6-monatige Aufenthalte
• keinerlei Anspruch auf kostenlosen Unterricht (Schulgebühren!)
• Schüler müssen mindestens einmal mit Embrace England nach York gekommen sein
