Dear College Community It is wonderful to reflect upon the year that has passed so quickly and to celebrate the achievements of our Class of 2017. I am pleased to be presenting our HSC results highlights package for 2017. Once again it has been an impressive year for our boys with great achievements across the board. In summary, the boys have performed incredibly well; they are a credit to themselves, their parents and the College. Of course, true success is not about marks, things or status, but is about the kind of person one becomes, and the positive impact each young man is, and will, have on the world. Success can be defined in many ways: • Living a life that has made a difference to others • Giving one’s best consistently • Spending your time with people and activities that are important to you • Standing up for things that are right and noble even when it’s hard • Becoming a person that others are proud of As a College community, we should be very proud of our focus on striving for excellence in all Academic, Sporting and Co-Curricular programs. I trust this highlights package will provide you with an appropriate measure of our success in all domains. These achievements would not be possible without the hard work, dedication and support of our staff, parents and broader community. Most importantly this would not be possible without the effort, teamwork and determination of the 2017 Year 12 cohort. Please join me in congratulating and thanking the boys for striving for excellence and making The Scots College community proud. I look forward to following the boys’ progress as they move into the next phase of their journey. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
