Friends of the Ford Senior Center Board Members

Friends of the Ford Senior Center is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization dedicated to financially supporting the
senior center in its efforts to serve older adults and surrounding communities. Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday
of each month at 9:00 am (with the exception of the month June and July)

The Aging Commission investigates needs of senior citizens, suggest programs and services specifically to serve seniors
and provides public information regarding the center and its services.
Please submit any suggestions or issues to the front desk to present to the Commission.
Meetings are held the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m., with the exception of the months of June and July
Intake forms should be on file for Everyone, no exceptions!
Information collected is for Emergency purposes ONLY!
If any information regarding your In-take or emergency contact has changed it is your responsibility to contact the office.
Intake forms must be completed to participate in trips or classes at the center.

Senior Center Admittance Policy
To provide a safe and healthy environment for our staff members, guests, visitors,
sponsors and vendors, strict adherence to the following recommendations by Wayne County
Public Health Guidance, upon entering the center.
Self Health screening we ask that you do a self health assessment prior to entering the facility, should you feel ill or have a
fever, please do not enter the facility. We strive to keep the center a healthy and safe environment for all.
HELP STOP the spread of germs we ask that you help us all work together to keep our center a safe and healthy
environment. Please practice good hygiene, wash your hands frequently with soap & water, and stay home if you are feeling ill.

Please note if the Taylor School District is closed due to
inclement weather, all transportation services will be
canceled.

Appointments that will go past the time of 1:00 p.m. will require
you to provide your own transportation home.
There is a $2.00 flat fee for pick up and drop off at home. Please be ready 1
hour prior to your appointment time for transportation pick up.
** Doctors office must be located in the City of Taylor
SHOPPING SCHEDULE
Please be ready by 7:15 a.m. for pick up and only buy what you can carry
in one trip to the bus. Drivers do not help with loading or unloading your purchases.

We are a curb to curb service, you must be able to get on/ off the bus, and to your location with no
assistance from the bus driver. All transportation services require a 24 hour or more notice.
Reservations are required, you must speak to someone in the office directly to make an
appointment.
**WE DO NOT DO SAME DAY RESERVATIONS IF YOU HAVE 3 NO SHOWS IN A 30 DAY PERIOD, THE CENTER HAS
THE RIGHT TO SUSPEND SERVICE FOR 30 DAYS.
** WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE SOMEONE TO ASSIST YOU OR DENY SERVICE IF WE FEEL YOUR SAFETY
OR THE SAFETY OF OTHERS IS AT RISK. IF A CAREGIVER IS NEEDED, THEY MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OF AGE.

Ticket Purchase Policies
Field Trip/ Event Ticket Policies
Sign up for *new* trips begins on the first day of each month and/or listed in the monthly
newsletter
First five business days of sign up will be limited to Taylor residents only *Valid ID will be
required per ticket sold
You may purchase one other ticket other than yourself for Taylor Resident “guest”.
A valid ID will be required for additional one ticket purchase.
After the five business days, all trips are open to non-residents. *Valid ID will be required per
ticket sold.
Please call if you cannot attend. If necessary, we will start a wait list and use that if seats
become available.
No saving/putting names on trips (and paying at a later time). Ticket sales are first come,first
serve basis.
Refunds will NOT be given day of trip, any trips involving prepaid tickets , refunds will not be
given after deadline date, ticket must be sold by the off office off watilist before refund is
given..
REFUNDS & RE-SELLING
*Please Note that Refunds can be given with advanced notice of trip/ event if there is not a
pre -purchased ticket involved.
*It is prohibited to resell or giveaway your ticket to any person, this means you may NOT give a person
your ticket for any event/ trip. Any tickets not used should be turned into the office, as we have
waiting lists for trips/ events & would like to keep all ticket sales fair to all.

Come join this fun class and bring out your artistic side by creating beautiful things with stained glass.

Learn popular line dances one step at a time & improve your technique while getting
exercise at the same time. This class is for individuals that have line dancing experience.
The first hour is easier line dancing steps, while the second hour is geared towards
