MY LOTTERY REWARDS™ Maryland Lottery® Baltimore Orioles™ Second Chance Promotion Official Rules and Conditions of Eligibility OVERVIEW Beginning Monday, March 24, 2014 at 00:00:00 AM through Monday, September 1, 2014 at 11:59:59 PM (“Promotion Period”), the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (“Maryland Lottery” or “Lottery”) is inviting registered My Lottery Rewards™ (“MLR”) members to enter the Maryland Lottery® BALTIMORE ORIOLES™ Second Chance Promotion (“Promotion”) for a chance to win: 1. A chance to be selected as the Maryland Lottery® Contestant of the Game winner (“Contestant”; plural “Contestants”) for a 2014 regular season Orioles® game; 2. A chance to be win one of four trips to see the ORIOLES® play the CHICAGO CUBS® at WRIGLEY FIELD™; or 3. A chance to win a trip to a 2014 MLB™ WORLD SERIES® game. CONTESTANT OF THE GAME: One Contestant will be randomly selected for every regular season Orioles® game played during the 2014 season for an expected total of 162 Contestants. Each Contestant will automatically win $500 just for being selected for a game. In addition, each Contestant will win $500 for each home run by an Orioles® player during the game for which they were selected. The name, hometown, and state of each game’s Contestant will be announced at mdlottery.com/orioles and, if the game is broadcast on MASN, will be announced during the broadcast of that game. To verify the number of home runs by the Orioles® during a game, visit www.orioles.com, go to Scoreboard, and select the date of the game you are interested in for individual game results. All Contestant prizes must be claimed by 4:30 PM ET on Friday, November 28, 2014. An alternate will not be designated. TRIP TO SEE ORIOLES® PLAY THE CUBS® AT WRIGLEY FIELD™: Four (4) Promotion winners will each receive a three (3) day/two (2) night package for two (2) (winner and one (1) guest), that begins on Friday, August 22, 2014 (“Wrigley Field Trip”) hosted by Maryland Lottery® vendor MDI; MDI will pay the required estimated Federal and Maryland tax withholdings, and will provide each winner a W-2G [See Claiming for more information] (Total Estimated Retail Value (“ERV”) of each trip prize: $6,540.00, including Federal and Maryland tax withholdings) and includes: 1. Two (2) lower bowl tickets to the Baltimore ORIOLES® versus; Chicago CUBS® game scheduled to be played in Chicago on Saturday, August 23, 2014; 2. Round trip coach airfare for two (2) people (winner and one (1) guest) from Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Chicago, IL; 3. Ground transportation between destination airport and hotel; 4. Hotel accommodations consisting of one (1) hotel room, double occupancy for two (2) nights; 5. Five hundred dollars ($500) spending money; 6. Pre-game private tour of Wrigley Field™; and 7. One (1) Wrigley Field™ 100th Anniversary merchandise gift. TRIP TO A 2014 MLB™ WORLD SERIES® GAME: One (1) winner will receive a three (3) days/two (2) nights package for two (2) (winner and one (1) guest) that begins on a date yet to be determined Last Updated April 1, 2014 1

Mailed entries will not be accepted. You may enter as often as you like, and you may win more than once; however, you may only win one time per Drawing. YOU DO NOT NEED TO KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL TICKET IN ORDER TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE IF YOU WIN. (Players and winners are sometimes referred to as “you” and “your”.) To enter, you must be 18 years of age or older. These are bonus drawings with bonus prizes. For this Promotion, a series of seven (7) second chance drawings (“Drawings”; singular “Drawing”) will be conducted. An entry for a Drawing must be entered by 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time on the Entry Deadline dates shown below to be included in that Drawing and in any remaining Drawings. Following each Drawing, the winners will be notified by the Maryland Lottery® as provided in Claiming, below, to confirm eligibility. Winners, including alternates, must claim your prize by 4:30 PM on the respective claiming deadlines shown below. HOW TO ENTER To enter the Promotion, go to the Lottery’s BALTIMORE ORIOLES™ landing page at mdlottery.com/orioles, mdlottery.com/rewards, or visit the Lottery’s website at mdlottery.com and click on the link for the BALTIMORE ORIOLES™ Promotion. You will be taken to the My Lottery Rewards (“MLR”) entry page. Enter your non-winning Maryland Lottery® BALTIMORE ORIOLES™ scratch-off tickets, Game #140, and/or any other ticket specified for this Promotion by the Lottery (“Tickets”, singular “Ticket) into the Promotion. 1. If you are a first time entrant, you will need to register and create an account. You will be required: to provide your First Name, Last Name, Address, City, State, Zip Code, Phone Number, Gender, your email address, Date of Birth, and the last Four Digits of your Social Security Number (“SSN”); and to Certify that you are 18 years of age or older; and to create a Password. You must also agree to the Terms of Use located on the MLR website. 2. If you already have an account, you will need to login to your account. 3. Go to the “Enter Tickets” tab once you create or login to your account. The required entry information from an eligible Ticket includes the 13-digit Ticket number from the BACK of your Ticket, and the 13-digit Validation number located under the latex on the FRONT of your ticket. Click the “submit” button after entering the required Ticket information. Your Ticket will automatically be entered in the Promotion Drawing currently available to enter for this Ticket and in Points for Prizes*. Entries are not entered until you click the “Submit” button. (You can check the history of Tickets you have entered by going to the “My Lottery” tab, clicking on “My Account” and selecting “Ticket History.” Each Ticket entered at the MLR website will be considered as one entry into the Promotion. *Also, upon successful submission of each valid Ticket, the Points for Prizes® (“PFP”) point value assigned to that Ticket will be applied to your PFP account at mdlottery.com/rewards, up to the 5,000 PFP maximum points allowed per calendar month. Entries will not be accepted after the final Drawing deadline of 11:59:59 PM on Monday, September 1, 2014. Entries received after that deadline will be ineligible and void. Entries submitted should list one name only, or the Lottery in its sole discretion, will choose which name is the winner. Only non-winning Tickets are eligible for entry into the Promotion. No ticket other than non-winning Tickets, may be used to enter the Promotion and its Drawings. Tickets winning on the Ticket itself are not valid entries and will not be considered. Each non-winning Ticket is eligible to be entered only once. If the name of the person who claims does not match the name on the Internet entry, then the person cannot claim and, upon validation by the person whose name is on the Internet entry, the prize will be awarded to the person whose name was listed on the Internet entry. The Lottery reserves the right to reschedule any times and dates regarding the Promotion, if necessary, without advance notice. For questions or assistance, visit the MLR website at www.mdlotterycom/rewards, go to the Help Menu tab and select Member Feedback. CLAIMING Winners will be notified via telephone and/or email and/or certified mail to confirm eligibility. The Lottery, in its sole discretion, may choose to use additional or alternate means or methods to notify the winners. You will be advised, at the time of notification, of claiming procedures and reminded of claiming deadlines. Claiming deadlines for winners and alternates are included in the chart above. Trip Prize Winners must claim your prize in person by 4:30 PM of the claiming deadline date for the respective Drawing at the Maryland Lottery® Baltimore Customer Resource Center, Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Boulevard, Suite 330, Baltimore, MD 21230. Contestants may claim in person or by mail (with a claim form and required documentation, as specified in the paragraph below) to the address in the preceding sentence. If a winner has been disqualified, or by the relevant claiming deadline has not claimed, submitted all required documentation, and been confirmed and validated as eligible, then an alternate winner may be selected. Alternates must claim by 4:30 PM of the claiming deadline designated for alternates. See the next paragraph for further requirements for claiming. All winners must complete a Lottery Claim Form, including Social Security number (“SSN”), and must provide proof of your SSN and must furnish photo I.D. proof of being at least 18 years of age. All winners are responsible for all taxes, including income taxes. You will receive a W-2G form for any prize won with a value greater than $600. Those amounts will be added to your reportable income. You will be taxed on those amounts. For the Wrigley Field™ Trips and the World Series® Trip, estimated withholding taxes will be paid by MDI. The payment of tax withholdings could result in additional Federal and State tax liability being due from the winner. Each winner is responsible for all other taxes, including income taxes in excess of tax withholdings paid by MDI. Further amounts may be owed. If you win a prize and you owe State Obligations, which include but are not limited to child support and/or certain other obligations to a State agency or other governmental entity, then: 1. Contestant prize: If you win a Contestant prize, any amount that would have been provided as a Contestant prize will be applied to your State Obligations. 2. Wrigley Field™ Trip or the 2014 MLB™ World Series® Trip: If you win a Wrigley Field™ Trip or the 2014 MLB™ World Series® Trip, then you must pay those outstanding State Obligations in order for the prize to be awarded to you. If any of those outstanding State Obligations are not paid off within five (5) business days of claiming the prize, then a) you will be disqualified and an alternate winner selected or b) you may be required by the Lottery to receive the cash Last Updated April 1, 2014 4
equivalent of the Trip Prize, and any amount that would have been provided as the cash equivalent will be applied to your State Obligations. You will be taxed on the value of the prize won. In the event of winner’s death or inability to partake of a prize, the Lottery will make a determination about the awarding of the prize. Trip Prizes may not be sold. Trip Prizes may not be used by anyone other than the prize winner without the Lottery Director’s approval. Contestant Prizes: 1. If an Orioles® regular season game is cancelled or postponed before it begins, the Contestant for that game will become the Contestant for the next Orioles® regular season game that has not yet been assigned a Contestant. 2. If a game is cancelled or postponed before it begins and there are no more games without a Contestant assigned to it, the Contestant of the cancelled game will receive the cash prize of $500. 3. If an Orioles® game is cut short because of rain (or any other circumstances) but is considered a full game, that game will be considered a full game for the purposes of this Promotion. 4. If an Orioles® game is cut short because of rain (or any other circumstances) and it is not considered a full game and: a. Orioles® players hit any home runs during the game, then that Contestant will receive the cash prize of $500, and $500 for each home run by an Orioles® player. If the game is finished at another time, the Contestant will also win $500 for any home run by an Orioles® player during the game, but will not win anything else if the Orioles® hit no further home runs. b. Orioles® players have not hit any home runs during the game, and the game is continued at another time, then the Contestant will remain the same and will win as if the game were played all at one time. c. Orioles® players have not hit any home runs during the game, and the game is not finished at another time, then the Contestant for that game will receive the cash prize of $500. Experiential Prizes: Wrigley Field™ Trip and MLB™ World Series® Trip (jointly, “Trip Prizes”; individually, “Trip Prize”)) 1. Once a winner has claimed the winner’s prize and winner’s eligibility has been verified, the information provided by the winner will be provided to MDI. MDI will contact the winner and provide winner with all necessary information for Trip Prize fulfillment; including scheduling, coordination, and booking of travel, hotel accommodations, and ground transfers. MDI will completely fulfill the Trip Prize. 2. Trip Prize does not include: mileage, insurance, gratuities, meals, parking fees, luggage fees, alcoholic beverages (other than those served without charge at any reception and/or party), Last Updated April 1, 2014 5
personal expenses such as telephone calls, valet service, laundry, incidentals and the like, revision or cancellation fees which may be charged by the hotel or other suppliers, or any other items not expressly specified herein; 3. If the winner and/or guest is traveling via air and fails to appear at the designated time and place of departure, winner and/or guest is responsible for being present at the designated game/event location at his/her own expense; or the balance of their Trip Prize or that winner’s and/or guest’s portion thereof shall be forfeited, with the exception of the five hundred dollars ($500) cash portion; 4. If the winner fails to check in to the hotel when he or she arrives in the destination city, the balance of the Trip Prize may be forfeited with the exception of the five hundred dollars ($500) cash portion; 5. If the winner and/or guest fails to arrive for his or her scheduled events, the winner forfeits that portion of their trip; 6. In the event that a winner is unable to attend the Trip Prize due to unforeseen and reasonable circumstances, the balance of the trip prize may be forfeited with the exception of the five hundred dollars ($500) cash portion; 7. The winner, designee, or guest must have a valid credit card or shall be required to post cash deposit for incidentals to check into the hotel; 8. A Trip Prize is not transferable without the express prior written consent of the Agency; 9. The winner is solely responsible for the actions of the guest who accompanies the winner during the Trip Prize, including to an event. If the winner’s guest is a minor, the winner must (A) be the parent or legal guardian of such guest, or (B) must present a notarized, written consent from the minor’s parent or legal guardian for the minor guest to accompany the winner on the Trip Prize. 10. Travel on an airplane, and possibly on other forms of transportation, requires a photo I.D. Additional details related to MLB tickets awarded as part of any prize: Seat locations at the game shall be determined in the sole discretion of Lottery. Major League Baseball game, event and exhibition dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball and/or the applicable Major League Baseball Club, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as part of any prize will govern in the event a legal game, event or exhibition, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played due to weather conditions, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason. Each winner and his/her guest(s) agree to comply with all applicable ballpark regulations in connection with the prize. Lottery and the applicable MLB Entities reserve the right to remove or to deny entry to any winner and/or his/her guest(s) who engage(s) in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person at the game, event or exhibition. MSLGC will not be responsible for weather conditions, Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation or postponement of any Major League Baseball game, event or exhibition. Major League Baseball game, event and exhibition tickets awarded as prizes may not be resold or offered for resale. Any such resale may result in disqualification and prize forfeiture, and may invalidate the license granted by the game ticket(s). For delivery of any prize, please allow a minimum of 15 business days after the Lottery receives a claim. Last Updated April 1, 2014 6
OTHER OFFICIAL GAME RULES By entering the Promotion, you agree to participate in any related Lottery event, including any Lottery event that may be public, taped, or televised, or to send a proxy who will participate. The Lottery reserves the right to approve or reject any proxy designated by a winner. All winners, for themselves and any proxy, agree that during any public, taped, or televised Lottery event they will behave in a reasonable, respectful and cooperative manner and will not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Winners also agree to wear at any public, taped, or televised Lottery event clothing that contains no logos or writing, and the Lottery reserves the right to determine what clothing is acceptable for appearing in the public, taped, or televised Lottery event. The Lottery also reserves the right to: require the winners and any proxies to wear clothing provided by the Lottery, and appoint a proxy or stand-in if the winner’s or proxy’s clothing, behavior, or other aspect is not acceptable, in the Lottery’s reasonable sole discretion. By submitting an entry for the Promotion, or participating in the Promotion, its Drawings or any of its prizes or related events in any way, all Lottery players, winners, participants, and you acknowledge, understand, consent and agree to the following: 1. To release, hold harmless, indemnify, and defend the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission, the State of Maryland, the MLB Entities (defined below) and their members, agents, employees, officials, representatives, successors and assigns (individually and collectively, “MSLGC”) from any liability arising out of participation in this Promotion, its Drawings, any related event or occurrence, use of the Lottery website or the MLR website, and/or out of the awarding, receipt, possession, use, misuse, and/or acceptance of a prize, from any breach of any obligation(s) by any third party(s), and/or from any injury, death, or damage resulting from participation in this Promotion, or its Drawings, and/or its prizes and/or use of its prizes, even if caused by the negligence of MSLGC or any other person. “MLB Entities” shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (“BOC”), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P., Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., the Major League Baseball Clubs (“Clubs”), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees and agents of the foregoing entities; 2. To accept and be bound by the terms and conditions of these Rules and all other applicable rules, laws, regulations and statutes, including the Maryland State Lottery Law and Regulations, as they may be amended; 3. To sign any waivers and releases of liability, affidavits of eligibility, or other documents required by the Lottery, and, unless prohibited by law, to sign news and press release forms; and to ensure that any of your guests also sign waivers and releases of liability and any other required documents; 4. To participate in a check/prize presentation ceremony as determined by the Lottery; 5. To publicity and to have Lottery players’, winners’, guests’, and participants’, name, photos, hometown, and/or state aired on TV, radio, text messages, the Internet, social media such as Last Updated April 1, 2014 7
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube and other media, and in other publicity, as well as used in Lottery publications and advertisements, Lottery mailings, and/or other Lottery-related activities, including mailing lists; 6. That MSLGC is not responsible for any negligence of any person, or for any claim, liability, injury, death, property loss, or other damage of or to Lottery players, winners, guests, other participants, and/or their family members, or other persons, arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with the participation in or the use or misuse of prizes awarded, or with participation in the Promotion or any of its Drawings or in any event or occurrence related to the Promotion or any of its Drawings, including, but not limited to claims for damage to property, for personal injury or death, or claims based on defamation, rights of privacy, rights of publicity, or delivery of cash or any other prize, even if caused by the negligence of MSLGC or any other person; 7. That the MSLGC has not made, and is not responsible or liable for, any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition, or fitness for a particular purpose; 8. To follow and abide by all applicable Maryland Lottery® laws, regulations, rules, responsibilities, terms, conditions, and restrictions (“Lottery Requirements”), and to agree to release, indemnify, hold harmless, and defend MSLGC for any action or inaction by you which is a violation of any Lottery Requirement; 9. That baseball games, air travel, other forms of travel, and other aspects of these prizes are subject to forces beyond the control of the MSLGC, and, therefore, the MSLGC shall not be subject to any liability as a result of the inability to fulfill any prize(s) or any portion thereof or for any cancellation or postponement of all or any portion of any prize in this Promotion; 10. That the Lottery reserves the right in its sole discretion a) to substitute for any prize a prize of approximately equivalent value or higher as determined by the Lottery, including a cash equivalent; b) to cancel or reschedule any Drawings, and/or c) to cancel or reschedule fulfillment of any prize; 11. that an entrant, winner, or guest may not request a substitute or equivalent prize; and that actual prizes may vary; 12. That the Lottery does not endorse any company or other entity by offering a game, promotion or prize from, or related to, that company or other entity or by holding any event at any entity’s location; 13. That the MSLGC is not liable or responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or destruction to or of all or any portion of any of the prizes, whether during delivery or at any other time; 14. To allow the Lottery to check the Lottery Voluntary Exclusion list to determine if your name is on that list, and if your name is on that list, then you agree that any Ticket or entry submitted in or associated with your name is void, not valid, and will not be considered in and will be disqualified from participation in the Promotion or any of its individual Drawings, and 15. Entries will be acknowledged online. Once submitted, all entries become the property of the Lottery. At the conclusion of the Promotion, and its Drawings, entries submitted for the Promotion may be destroyed and/or used by the Lottery. 1. Any officer, employee, or member of the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency, the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission, or any individual who is a spouse, domestic partner, child, parent, parent-in-law, or sibling of an officer, employee, or member of the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Agency or the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Control Commission who resides in the same residence as the officer, employee, or member; 2. Any officer or employee of any Lottery vendor (including its advertising agencies; the Lottery’s broadcast station, WBAL-TV; and/or Scientific Games International, Inc. and/or MDI Entertainment, LLC (“MDI”); MASN, and/or the MLB Entities) and/or any of their parent companies, subsidiaries, or subcontractors; and/or any member of such officer or employee’s immediate family (spouse, child, parent, or sibling) who resides in the same residence as the officer or employee; 3. Any participant in the Lottery’s Voluntary Exclusion Program. If any discrepancy should exist between these Official Rules and Conditions of Eligibility and any other material describing the Maryland Lottery® BALTIMORE ORIOLES™ Second Chance Promotion or anything related thereto, these Official Rules and Conditions of Eligibility shall govern. Any attempt to deliberately damage the Lottery website or the MLR website, or to undermine the legitimate operations of the Promotion and/or its individual Drawings is a violation of the law. Should such an attempt be made, the Lottery reserves the right to disqualify any portion of, or the entire, Internet registration database and the right to cancel the Promotion or any Drawing or Drawings. The probability of any entry winning any Promotion prize will be determined by the number of eligible entries registered through the Internet at mdlottery.com/rewards for each respective Drawing. The MSLGC is not responsible for names announced or published in error. By participating in or entering the Promotion, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and Conditions of Eligibility, in addition to any applicable laws and regulations including the Maryland State Lottery Law and Regulations. The Lottery will make all determinations concerning the validity of entries, winners and other decisions required for the Promotion. All decisions of the Lottery shall be final. The Lottery reserves the right to change, modify, amend, or revise without notice any rules(s), any time(s) and/or any date(s). The following are not valid entries and will not be considered or entered in the Promotion or any of its Drawings: any incomplete or illegible entry; any entry that does not comply with these Official Rules and Conditions of Eligibility, including but not limited to, any entry whose related Ticket is a stolen, copied, or cancelled Lottery ticket; entries submitted through any method other than the MLR website or with a 13-digit ticket number and 13-digit entry code from anything other than a non-winning Ticket; entries entered after the announced Promotion final entry deadline date (or before the first entry date); and entries received in any manner other than as stated in the Rules. The Lottery accepts no responsibility for lost, late, damaged, stolen, misdirected, illegible, or incorrectly addressed entries.
