Home Learning Pack Year 1 Friday 1st May 2020 Good morning Year 1! Yay its Friday! I am really missing having you all in my class and I hope we can go back to school soon. Power through this work and then have a lovely relaxing weekend. Buenos días año 1! Yay es viernes! Realmente echo de menos tenerlos a todos en mi clase y espero que podamos volver a la escuela pronto. Potencia a través de este trabajo y luego ten un hermoso fin de semana relajante. (20 mins) Maths: Complete either the sheet below or your doodle maths task. Good digital resource: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/time/teaching-clock If you have access to the internet there is a matching game you can play: https://nrich.maths.org/pelmanisms/main.html?game=matchingtime&number=12&timer=hidden&f aceup=true you may need to discuss some of these matches with your children as they may be unsure. Complete this table in your exercise book. You can think back to what you have done this week or you can fill it out for a normal school week:
(10 mins) Doodle maths / tables: It is really important that you login to doodle maths and doodle tables regularly, even if you are choosing to complete the work set on the website rather than the doodle maths work. Doodle tables is particularly important as that is the only way we are able to practice our times tables at the moment. You can also use hit the button to help you: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button but you should practice on doodle tables at least 2 x per week. Here is my example: Sunday 19th April 2020 Dear Diary, Today was a very exciting day, it was my mum’s birthday! I could not see her today because of the rules at the moment, but as soon as I woke up I phoned her and spoke to her! I felt so happy to hear her voice but it made me miss her lots. Then I made some breakfast. It was delicious. After that I wanted to go for a run but when I got outside it was very hot so I decided to walk instead. It was still lovely to get some fresh air and I felt very peaceful. When I arrived back home I read
some of my new book. It was very interesting but it made me feel sleepy. Just as I thought I was going to fall asleep my mum phoned me again. This time the whole family was on the other end of video call to say hello. My mum looked as happy as smiling clown. She opened the card and present that I got for her and I felt proud. Before I went to bed I tried a new recipe to cook for dinner. It was a lot of fun and I went to bed feeling really pleased.
