READING It is very important to keep up with reading during lockdown. Children at an early stage of their reading development need a lot of repetition as well as praise and encouragement. Please use free resources on Oxford Reading Tree to choose books at your own child's level every day. I will send a page from each story we cover in phonics for you and your child to read together. Is important for children to read real stories in addition to the ‘readers’ we send home. https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/for-home/find-a- Read the page together and let the child read a few words that they will be able to decode easily book/library-page or that is one of their tricky troll words. Over time encourage them to read more themselves.
