Friday, April 27 th
Arrive in Amsterdam
Upon arrival in Amsterdam, students are invited for a meetup at the famed College Hotel, This is a
great opportunity to become acquainted with the rest of the group and Ariella and FlowerSchool
staff will be available to answer all questions about the program. Friday night is the tail end of the
King’s Day celebration. Students wishing to stay at the College Hotel will book in advance through
FlowerSchool (for a preferred rate).

The College Hotel is one of Amsterdam’s most prestigious hotels located in the heart of the De Pijp
neighborhood, the center of the city’s fashion and museum district. What was once a former
secondary school, The College Hotel has continued this tradition by operating as a teaching hotel
since 2005. In line with our own mission as floral students we will reside at this intimate & warm
boutique hotel during our stay in Amsterdam.

Students will learn how to create compote arrangements, large-scale statement pieces, bridal
bouquets and what goes into designing a cohesive event. On the final day, the group will celebrate
with a meal at a room that we designed at the College Hotel. Students can expect to work with the
most gorgeous flowers Holland offers, a thorough understanding of Ariella’s approach to creating
lush and natural floral designs, a complete understanding of how this work should be priced, lists of
all my favorite vendors and a portfolio of images of your work to use as you wish.

Saturday, April 28 th
10:00am – 1:00pm: Bridal Bouquet
In this class, each student will learn the magic that makes a signature Ariella Chezar bouquet
beginning with a discussion about her work, referencing her past work, show ribbon details and
techniques and finally how to conceptualize the overall look and emotion of the bouquet.
All designs will be professionally photographed.

Lunch Provided

2:00pm – 4:30pm: Large Scale Statement Designs
What a better place than to create a giant statement piece than in Holland. In this class we will use
the very best of Dutch spring flowers where students will construct very large statement pieces to
be installed throughout the hotel. All designs will be professionally photographed.

Dinner: Seafood Bar (Optional)

Sunday, April 29th
10:00am – 1:00pm: Ariella’s Signature Compote Designs
A signature of Ariella Chezar, the compote can be challenging, but is an effective container with a
shallow depth and footed base. It is ideal for a romantic style which enables flowers to look their
most natural. During this class, Ariella will teach the best techniques to create a lush, romantic and
natural aesthetic compote design including how to appropriately use a flower frog. All designs will be
professionally photographed.

Lunch Provided

2:00pm – 4:30pm: Tablescaping and Event Design
Using local materials and methods that have made her so famous, Ariella will lead to the students
through the process of creating an event tablesape complete with flowers, vessels, décor items,
table linens and more. Students will be brought through the full event process and will apply
designed details right to the color of the napkins

7:00pm: Final Dinner and Goodbyes

Price includes hotel accommodations (single room), materials fees for all workshops, all breakfasts,

2-Day Programming Only Package: $2,500.00
Price includes materials fees for all workshops, lunches and dinner.

* Flight arrangements will be the responsibility of each individual participant.
**Students wishing to stay for King’s Day will be responsible for alerting FlowerSchool NY staff by
March 1st and will be responsible for paying for their room.
***Students wishing to attend both programs will receive a 10% discount on both.

       The first deposit of $1,000 is required no later than February 15th 2018 to hold a space on
       the trip (refundable until March 1st).

The second deposit of $2,000 will be due by March 1st, 2018. (non-refundable)

The remaining balance and full payment will be due by April 1st, 2018. (non-refundable)

Please note that changes may occur as we refine the details to Holland 2018. At least six
participants are required for the trip. Depending on the number of registrants, FlowerSchool New
York reserves the right to cancel the trip until March 1st. After that date all payments will be non-
refundable.
