ERSO Show Contest 2018 Bratislava, Slovakia rd The Rope Skipping Association of Slovakia is pleased to be the host of the 3 ERSO Show Contest, which will be held on 24.11.2018 in capital city Bratislava. The Host City: Bratislava Bratislava is the capital city of Slovakia. It has a population of approximately 420,000 inhabitants, but it is estimated that over 500,000 people live in the city. Bratislava is the biggest city in Slovakia and administrative, cultural and economic centre of the country. Other names of Bratislava are Pozsony in Hungarian and Pressburg in German. Situated right in the heart of Europe, on the banks of the Danube River, it has been predestined to become a major crossroads of business routes and a place of encounter with many cultures. In the past, Bratislava was one the most important economic and administrative centres of the Kingdom of Hungary. Several kings were crowned here what is still markable in the architecture and atmosphere of today's city. Interesting facts about Bratislava • Bratislava is the only one European capital city, which borders with two other countries - Hungary and Austria. • Bratislava and Vienna are the closest two capitals in Europe - only 60km away from each other. • Petrzalka - the largest borough of Bratislava - is the most densely populated residential district in Central Europe. • Bratislava is probably the only city in the world, where you can have a lunch in a UFO.
Travelling to Bratislava In Bratislava is the M.R.Stefanik Airport, it is the biggest airport in Slovakia located just 20 minutes from the City Centre. Regular and irregular national and international air services are provided by both classic and low cost airlines. Regular flights from/to Bratislava are operated by Czech Airlines, flydubai, Georgian Airways (from March 2018), Pobeda, Ryanair, Wizz Air and seasonally Smart Wings. Guests will be met at the airport, provided with a ticket and will then travel by public transport (Bus No. 61 to Central railway station and then bus no. 93 to Zochova) to the hotel in the City Centre. Guests arriving by car, travel directly to the Hotel IBIS, Zamocka 38, 811 01 Bratislava. Parking around hotel is limited, parking in hotel garage is possible for the payment (around 20€/night) All guests will be given a public transport ticket to enable them to travel in Bratislava for the whole stay (Friday – Sunday). The Event Venue: “P.O.Hviezdoslav Theatre” The P.O.Hviezdoslav theatre represents the artistic scene of the Bratislava Cultural and Information Centre. It is located in the former building of the Slovak National Bank in the historic part of the City Centre, built between 1943 and 1947. The main auditorium offers 307 seats on the ground floor and 133 seats on the balcony, beautiful catering area and 2 smaller training halls. The Hotel
The IBIS hotel is ideally located in the heart of the city, at the entrance of the Old Town's pedestrian zone and at the foot of the Castle. The hotel is easily accessible by public transportation and to most attractions. The hotel provides modern rooms with air conditioning, FREE WIFI, full buffet breakfast and a bar with snacks. Meals An evening meal on Friday and breakfast on the Saturday and Sunday will be served in the hotel. Lunch and dinner on Saturday will be provided in a restaurant close to the theatre and on the Sunday a snack lunch will be provided at the sports hall. The Show Contest: The facts • Up to 5 teams per country may compete • Each team consists of 4 to 6 skippers • The skippers must be born in 2006 or before • Maximum of 4 minutes per show • Music is compulsory • Two types of judging (see ERSO Show Contest Rules) Competition On the Sunday morning a Chinese Wheel competition will be held in Sport hall Mladost. The Package: 220 € per participant Show Contest participation (as skipper, judge, coach or spectator) Full board accommodation from dinner on Friday until lunch on Sunday 72 hour tickets for the public transport Welcome Package Participation in the Chinese Wheel competition Registration and Payment Dates 24.06.2018 First estimation (expected numbers of teams and people) 22.07.2018 More accurate estimation and payment of 90 € deposit per expected participant 15.09.2018 Final registration and final payment of remaining sum Payment information: Account holder: Slovenská rope skippingová asociácia Bank: Fio Bank, Bratislava BIC: FIOZSKBAXXX IBAN: SK85 8330 0000 0029 0142 1338 All money transfer costs to be paid by the participating country’s bank. All countries should pay the deposit and final payment each in one sum for all participants, stating “SC2018, the country name and the number of participants”. Cancellation Policy th 100% before July 30 th 50% before September 12 th 25% before October 17 Insurance Coaches/heads of delegations will be fully responsible for their teams during the entire stay in the Slovakia. The Rope Skipping Association of Slovakia and ERSO will not provide insurance for the competitors and all other participants. Insurance is the responsibility of each and every person.
