What is a Foundation Degree? Foundation Degrees are higher education qualifications that combine academic study with work-based learning. Designed jointly by universities, colleges and employers, they are available in a range of subjects. Tottenham Hotspur Foundation currently delivers two Foundation Degrees: FdA Applied Sport & Community Development FdSc Applied Sport Hospitality & Nutrition These programmes are awarded by Middlesex University and are recognised as unique work based learning qualifications exposing students to valuable work experience and preparing them for employment. COMING SOON FOR 2013-14… Two exciting new programmes are being developed for 2013-14. Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is rapidly growing as a deliverer of Higher Education and consequently we are in the process of validating two new Foundation Degrees in: FDSC FOOTBALL STUDIES FDA BUSINESS ENTERPRISE It is expected that these programmes will be approved and validated for a 2013 start and applicants will soon be able to apply for either course (subject to validation). FdSc Football Studies This programme will combine practical coaching skills with theoretical underpinning knowledge in the football environment. Students will have to have a minimum FA Level 2 coaching qualification as well as the standard foundation degree entry requirements. Students will learn about football specific fitness and physiology, nutrition, performance analysis and research methods. FdA Business Enterprise This programme focuses primarily on business studies, entrepreneurship and enterprise. Students will learn how to set up a business which includes marketing and financial aspects as well as management and research methods. Both programmes are two years, will include work based learning modules and allow the opportunity for progression into a full degree with Middlesex University. Tottenham Hotspur Foundation
