Physicals: ! Getting a physical is mandatory. ! Physicals must take place between December and when paperwork is due. ! Keeping up with a team of 60 plus who have different expiration dates for physicals is a nightmare. (last summer, August, etc) ! To keep our tryout cycle the same these are the physical dates needed. ! It MUST be the document in the tryout packet – no other physical document will be accepted.
If you make Silver Wings: ! You will not have to re-tryout the following year unless you receive probation in Silver Wings (16 demerits) or fail a report card (become ineligible). ! However, you will STILL have to turn in all of this paperwork and get another physical.
This is a HUGE commitment, so….. ! Please do NOT allow your daughter to try-out for Silver Wings if she isn’t going to FULLY commit. We don’t have an off season – this is a FULL year commitment. Once you have made the team you are committed for one school year. As directors, our expectation is that you are a member of Silver Wings for your high school career. ! We practice, perform, fundraise, promote school spirit and do community service, therefore, plan on at least one drill team event per month. ! We practice in the mornings – 7am and Silver Wings is 1st period. ! Also – PLEASE consider the load of classes your daughter will take her (Pre-AP/AP classes). Not saying its impossible, just something to think about. ! Also – our expectations are VERY high for our Silver Wings. It’s a PRIVILEGE to be on drill team, not a right. We have VERY high standards for our girls.
