Welcome message from Tim Joss, the Chief Executive
and Founder

Thank you for your interest in Aesop and the role of Head of Aesop Services.

Aesop is an ambitious organisation that has grown rapidly since professionalising
in 2014. Our vision is for a future when arts solutions for society’s problems are
valued and available for all who need them. Our current focus is on arts
solutions to major health challenges.

We now want to recruit a Head of Aesop Services to lead on the successful
delivery of all our projects and services, including quality assurance, evaluation,
and development. The main current services are Dance to Health, a falls
prevention dance programme for older people, and the Aesop Institute
professional development programme for health and arts professionals wanting
to deliver successful arts-and-health programmes.

The successful candidate will have experience of programme planning,
successful delivery and monitoring and evaluation. They will need to provide
evidence of their ability to review relevant research to develop evidence-based
programmes and develop strong relationships with a range of stakeholders,
including funders. The successful candidate will be able to identify and develop
new projects in addition to building strategies to help deliver Aesop’s current
aims. They will work closely with the new post of Head of Business and
Marketing, and me, to develop Aesop’s offer further.

Aesop currently has 10 employees, 6 trustees and 300 volunteers. Aesop
funders currently include Arts Council England, Birmingham City Council, John
Ellerman Foundation, Paul Hamlyn Foundation and Peter Sowerby Foundation.

For more information please visit www.ae-sop.org and follow us @AesopHealth.

Thank you again for taking an interest in learning more about Aesop and we
hope the following pages help you consider our Head of Business Development
and Marketing role.

We look forward to hearing from you.

The 5-year plan 2019 – 2025 has four broad aims from which a number of KPIs

effective and cost-effective for the health system. The next phase [2020-
25] takes Dance to Health online. Many more local groups and a
       randomised controlled trial are planned.

   ▪ Arts-and-health Conferences/showcases for health decision-makers. The
next event will be presented in partnership with the Southbank Centre.
   ▪ Annual surveys of GP attitudes to the arts.

Accelerate the pace of adoption of arts solutions:

       Canterbury Christ Church University.

                                                                                      4
