Dear Team Manager With Tournament nearing it is timely to send the second and final newsletter with the following information for you all prior to tournament. TOURNAMENT OFFICIALS • Tournament Director Toni Hartnell • Umpire Manager Alan Blewett, Jess Bond & Kaitlyn Young UMPIRES/MANAGER MEETINGS Umpires and Managers Meetings will be held in the Park Island Pavilion at the Stadium on Sunday, 4th September 2021. • Managers Meeting: 4.30pm • Umpires Meeting: 5.30pm Very important – Managers MUST bring: • Team Registration Form (ex Altius) signed by each player (if a player is 16 years or younger then a parent must sign their form) and management with the Hockey New Zealand cover sheet (fully completed and must be signed by School Principal). • If your school has not sent through images of the playing strips and goalie shirts, please bring these with you to the meeting, PAPERWORK OUTSTANDING • Please can those schools still to send in photos of their strips email these by Thursday as we would like to have these all ticked off. • Please can those teams still to complete the Team Information form do so by Thursday as well. TROPHIES: • Please can those teams that hold the trophies from the previous tournament please ensure the engraving is up to date and then brought with you to Tournament. • Covid 19 QR Scanning Codes Both the Park Island and Unison Hockey turf has QR codes at the entry for individuals to scan in. ALTRIUSRT AND PAPERWORK • Altiusrt – it is now time to register your players and Management in to the system • Deadline to register your team in the Altiusrt is the 16th August. • Once you enter your team and management print this off and have everyone sign in the small area on the sheet next to the players name (by the DOB). • This form and the HNZ cover sheet must be signed by your principal and brought to the Manager’s meeting. This is the one aspect of tournament that can cause Manager’s unnecessary stress . Please contact me if you are unsure on anything and once I can access Altius I will send everyone a “dummy’ sheet so you can see what is required. CAPE PHYSIOTHERAPY • We are very fortunate to have on site for the week of Tournament the team from Cape Physio who will be offering their services at a fantastic rate. We will be taking bookings for strapping once the draw is out and teams know the times they may require Cape Physio. If any players require ACC treatments then appointments can be arranged. • STRAPPING CLINIC $5 PER STRAPPING • PHYSIO CLINIC $5 ON ACC TOURNAMENT MERCHANDISE The merchandise can be ordered from the link found in the Tournament website page at HBH www.hbhockey.org.nz. • Deadline 1 orders in before the 11th August will have their merchandise delivered before Sunday. • Deadline 2 orders those in after the 11th August will have their merchandise delivered mid September. TURF BOOKINGS • Those teams that have booked practice turfs these are for one hour and your team is allocated half the turf – is below the turf booking confirmations. FOOD VENDORS ON SITE • Food is well covered and all coffee needs satisfied at both venues. • Park Island we have the resident Café and coming in for the week is Wombo Food Truck with Asian inspired dishes. • At Unison Hockey turf we have the resident Café 13 th Stag which is open daily until around 4pm. • For the late Monday and Tuesdays we have Pegs and Pickle with their Food Truck on site with fresh dumplings and all sort of goodies along with Kimi Coffee. VIDEOING MATCHES • Unison Hockey Stadium has a video tower which teams can access during their games. • Park Island has two viewing platform either side of the building teams can record from. • We may be able to source scaffolding for the end of Cape Physio turf – we are just waiting on Funding confirmation for this. CHANGE ROOMS We have four change rooms at Park Island and four at Unison Hockey Stadium. Teams can access the change rooms 1 hour before their game. When your team exits for their game please take all gear with you so the next team arriving can access the change room. PARKING In the Park Island area, we have two major sporting tournaments on during the week with Central Football hosting a Secondary School Girls tournament for their code as well our Tournament. Turf Time Trainings Below are the confirmed turf time trainings slot for Sunday 29 th August. Please note the Cape Physio and Big Save turfs are located Park Island Hockey turfs and Unison is at the Mitre 10 Park. These bookings are for half turf – 1 hour slots.
