Fitting the brake
cable bracket
For this stage’s assembly, you will need the front fender and a type B
screw from Stage 2, and the brake cable bracket from Stage 27. You will
also need a Phillips screwdriver.

Fitting the left
front fork
With this stage, you will receive the transmission case for your Fat Boy® and
three type F screws. For the assembly, you will need two type A screws, the left T y pe A s crew s
front fork (assembled in Stage 13) and the front fender (Stage 28). You will also
need a number 2 Allen key, which can be obtained from any hardware retailer.

Retrieve the front fender and the left front fork. The fork has the brake
1 caliper attached. Make sure it is mounted on the left side of the fender,
which has the bracket affixed (page 175). Use the locating pin
on the fork to align the screw holes in the fork and fender.
Place two type A screws in the screw holes and tighten
them with a number 2 Allen key. This stage of the
assembly is now complete. Store the parts carefully.

Fitting the right
front fork
With this stage, you receive the drive belt for your Fat Boy® model and a storage box with
compartments for you to organise the screws and small parts that you receive. Store
these carefully.
For this stage’s assembly, you will need the right front fork from Stage 5, the screws
from Stage 2 and an Allen key. A storage box with compartments for storing and

Using the Allen key, fix two type A screws into the holes.
Take the fender that you worked on in the previous stage and use the locating pin in
the right fork to align it with the screw holes on the right side of the fender, as shown.
