Three simple words Jesus said after He had endured God's wrath for the sin of the whole world. It is finished. We deserve to be on that cross. We deserve death as punishment for our sins and to be separated from God forever. It is finished. Jesus did what we could never do. He lived a sinless life in order to be the perfect sacrifice, because without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. By His blood we are cleansed.
It is finished. May we never get over what Jesus willingly did for us. No one took His life from Him—He gave it up, for us. His body was broken. His blood was shed to set us free. Our debt is paid. IT IS FINISHED. But that’s not the end…Sunday is coming. As Christians, we know that death is not the end —the end is life. Jesus’ resurrection would bring us redemption, hope and life. Risen Lamb. Death Defeater. King forever. Alpha and Omega. Jesus, Messiah. One True God. Savior of the world. CHRIST IS RISEN! “To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood, and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father—to Him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen” (Revelation 1:5b-6). EASTER SUNDAY SERVICES: Plan on celebrating Jesus, our Risen Savior, with us on Easter Sunday, April 9! We'll have two services that morning at 9:00 am and 10:45 am.
