Air Force Viper Demo Team & Heritage Flight Foundation The U.S. Air Force F-16 Viper Demonstration Team out of Shaw AFB will headline the 2021 Thunder Over the Heartland air show. The Viper Demo Team performs precision aerial maneuvers to demonstrate the unique capabilities of one of the Air Force's premier multi-role fighters — the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The team will showcase a high energy, fully-aerobatic demonstration profile highlighting the tactical combat maneuvering capabilities of one of the world's most popular combat aircraft. The demonstration aircraft features a unique paint scheme known as "Venom". The team also works with the Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation to create a unique demonstration of the U.S. Air Force's past and present. In addition to the single-ship demonstration, the teams often come accompanied by a WWII or Korean-era warbird to participate in the U.S. Air Force Heritage Flight. This provides additional passes of the F-16 as it flies in close formation with an aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang, A-1 Skyraider, other aircraft.
