Key Dates Arrival: 26 - 28 August Classification: 26 - 28 August Competition: 29 - 30 August Departure: 30 August - 01 September Disciplines All events that feature on the Dubaï 2019 World Para Athletics Championships program will be available for entry at the Paris 2019 WPA Grand Prix. On the track: 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m & Universal Relay On the field: High jump, Long jump, Shot put, Discus, Javelin, Club throw Classes: 10-20-30-40-50-60-Deaf (Male & Female) Competition schedule The final competition schedule will be confirmed, after the sports’ registration closing. The preliminary competition schedule is below. Registration All athletes wishing to participate in the Grand Prix must also be entered via the IPC Online Entry System by their NPC/NF. All athletes must therefore ensure they are registered here at the LOC and in the IPC Online Entry System (EBS) from their National Paralympic Committee (NPC) in order to be eligible to compete (in their preferred disciplines). Accreditation The accreditation will take place at the main entrance of the Official Event Hotel (Hotel Ibis Paris Porte d’Italie). Address: 13 rue du Val de Marne, 94250 Gentilly For obvious security purposes, every Stadium’s accesses will be controlled. It will be required from athletes, guide-runners and staff members to carry on their accreditation at all time, on all official sites. Start numbers for the Grand Prix 26 - 27 August (9 am - 6 pm) 28 August (only the morning) Classifications Classification for Athletes with a Visual or Physical Impairment (VI and PI) will take place on Monday 26, Tuesday 27 and Wednesday 28 August 2019. All Athletes entering Para Athletics with a New (N) or Review (R) Sport Class Status will be required from WPA to undergo Classification upon arrival in Paris. If you require Classification, please ensure you arrive in Paris prior to the start of Classification. For Physical Impairment (PI) the classification will take place in the competition venue at Charléty stadium. For Visual Impairment (VI), the classification will take place at the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. Training Athletes could train before the competition on the Charléty training track on Monday 26th August and Tuesday 27th August. The Wednesday 28th August it will be possible to train on the competition track and field. Opening and closing hours will follow. Depending on kind of impairment the access to training will be different. For information, the training track is located at the same place that the competition venue. Medical Services Karine KUZNICKI: Federal Doctor and Competition doctor E-mail: k.kuznicki@handisport.org Dr Frédéric RUSAKIEWICZ: Medical staff responsible In addition to emergency services in case of incidents, a medical and paramedical space will be available on the warm-up field during the competition. Your team will have the opportunity to benefit from sport specific advices along with medical and physiotherapy treatments adapted to disabled athletes. If these athletes have well-known problems, it is possible to come with medical files. If you plan to come with a doctor and/or a team physiotherapist, we strongly suggest you that these latter contact Karine KUZNICKI. You will be able to share the common space with our team and exchange together. A physiotherapy and first aid services will be present on the competition stadium. Technical Meeting The technical meeting is scheduled at the eve of the competition at the Charléty Stadium: Wednesday, August 28th (time to be confirmed). The NPC/NF representative’s attendance is mandatory. Start list will be communicated during this technical meeting. Shuttle Contact Florian BROSSARD f.brossard@handisport.org The shuttle is only from airports or train station to hotel. This includes the removal of sport material at the competition venue. If you choose to use the shuttle option proposed by the LOC, here some advices to simplify the procedure. You must contact us and give us some information about your: - Trip: days, hours, airport, train station, accommodation place - Team: number of athletes and staff, kind of impairment - Material: races chairs, suitcase… The most we have details easier it will be for us to offer you the appropriate shuttle.
