Jessica Masters jessicamasters02@gmail.com https://jessicamasters.com I paint things that are important to me. Things that have an impact on my life, like my family, my history, and the landscape around me. I've lived in Ontario, Britain, and Quebec, and these places and experiences come out in different ways in the work that I do. Regardless of my subject matter or medium, I strive to create an atmosphere and mood in each piece that viewers can connect with. I work from my own studio in Guelph and teach courses in both painting and dry pastel. My work is held in private and corporate collections throughout Canada, United States, Austalia and NewZealand. I also show my work in several galleries in Toronto, Oakville, Waterloo and in Guelph. Jessica Masters, Crystal Wave, 2019, Pastel, 30”H x 30”W, $2400

Nancy Farrell nancy.i.farrell@facebook.com www.nancyfarrell.com After completing an Honours BA in Fine Art from the University of Guelph, Nancy continued her art studies through workshops in Canada and the United States, studying with Peter Kolsnyk and John Leonard in Canada and Steve Aimone and Nicholas Wilton in the US. Working in sculpture, painting and mixed media, she has participated in the Toronto Outdoor Exhibition as well as over 120 solo, group and juried exhibitions. This award-winning artist has always been intrigued with the endless potential of abstract and non-objective painting. Her process involves layers of mark and shape making, each time responding to the images on the surface. She often distills past memories of landscape, incorporating them into her highly imaginative paintings. Nancy relies almost wholly on an intuitive and expressive approach that juxtaposes opposing elements: dark and light, opaque and transparent, organic and geometric, large and small and textured and smooth. The whole process continues until balance or a feeling of resolution is achieved. Nancy delights in producing paintings for the viewer that are both compelling and revealing. Nancy Farrell, September In The Yukon, 2019, Acrylic on board, 30”H x 30”W, $825

Juliet Promnitz https://www.julietpromnitz.com I am predominately a sculptural ceramicist, interested in decorative and figurative forms. I make my sculptures mainly with slabs, which are formed and manipulated into shapes and are then decorated with various techniques. Hearts, love and flowers are all recurring themes. I have always been drawn to folk art, and it’s simplified shapes and lines. I enjoy the patina of wear, and believe the imperfections of a piece add to the visual experience. I enjoy using imagery to tell stories with my work. Juliet Promnitz, Anne of Mississippi, 2019, Ceramic with embossed slabs, graffito, 23"H x 18”W x 10”D, $750
Barbara Bryce Multi-disciplinary artist barbara@sonicplayground.ca https://barbarabryce.ca Barbara Bryce creates assemblages inspired by the beads and treasures she procures. Her commissioned pieces take inspiration from keepsakes provided to her by her clients which she then incorporates into the work to produce meaningful resonance. Michelle Miller info@mimijewellery.com mimijewellery.com I am influenced by the everyday, the natural and manufactured world around me where the banal intersects with the extraordinary. I am passionate about colour, line and form. Over the past 30 years, I have integrated common materials; wire, shock cord and beads, elevating them to uncommon grounds. Communication and connection are the base of my work and are the reason I create. Currently images of hydro wires inspire, poetically, metaphorically and literally. With those images and many others, I have been focused on how I can connect materials physically, creating new ways of making. This seems pertinent in this time as we are all needing to reconsider how we communicate and how we connect together. Michelle Miller, Connecting Necklace, 2020 (in light blue, brown, green and gold), Shock cord, silicone tubing, wood, metal and plastic beads, rubberized garden wire and magnetic clasp, 20”L, $180

Lewis is a long-time member of the Guelph Studio Tour and an 'Art On The Street' regular. He has also taught printmaking in many different venues within the city of Guelph and surrounding areas. His work The Survivors was included in the 2015 Guelph Civic Museum’s Remembering “In Flanders Fields”: A juried art exhibition by local artists commemorating the 100th anniversary of the writing of this famous poem. Janette Hayhoe janette@janettehayhoe.com http://www.janettehayhoe.com Janette Hayhoe’s oil paintings focus on the ‘everydayness’ of contemporary life. Images of familiar objects and spaces have the power to evoke memory and psychological responses that call our attention to what is often overlooked. The fall of light on an object or space both describes and transforms the mundane. By inviting us into a space of contemplation we are asked to reflect on the paradoxical nature of domesticity and memory. This approach is based on careful observation and understanding of nature and involves working predominantly from life. Janette has a MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts, a BA from Queen’s University, and studied contemporary realism under the painter Ted Seth Jacobs at the Ecole Albert Dufois in France. She lives and works in Guelph, Canada. Janette Hayhoe, Pillows II, 2018, Oil on panel, 24"H x 24”W, $2000
