Welcome to the land of Ice & Fire
There is no other place like Iceland.
Imagine wake up early in the morning, to drive between
volcanoes that anchor above icecaps. You then hike
through moss-clad lava fields to stand before a waterfall
roaring from over 100m-tall cliffs. Imagine an endless
coastline of black-sand beaches, fishing villages
perfectly situated between incredible fjords. The next
day, you spot a seal at a blue iceberg's lagoon, and walk
meters away to witness icebergs float into the open sea.
Iceland’s natural wonders and vibrant culture is unlike
anywhere else!– you can visit Iceland all year long, but
we have timed our adventure to be able to catch all
shades of green, and also enjoy the long day light hours.
This is Iceland's most scenic and all-encompassing
drive, the Ring Road.

Day 1 – Arrival Day in Reykjavik The adventure begins when you arrive in Reykjavik. Meet and greet by one of our guides, then check in at the hotel where you will have some time to rest and freshen up before you meet with the rest of the group – City Walking Tour & welcome dinner. Day 2 & 3 – The Golden Circle We will start our road trip in the fascinating golden circle with hiking some beautiful trails in Thingvellir National Park to witnessing the original “Geyser” and visiting the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. We will end the circle with a Snowmobiling adventure on Vatnajokull Glacier – Europe's biggest glacier!
Iceland Day 4 – Waterfalls & Volcanic beaches
Todays starts with visits to the fairytale-like Seljalandsfoss waterfall, followed by the gorgeous
Wonders 60-meter high Skogafoss waterfall. By afternoon, we will visit the black volcanic beaches with
its famous rock formations Dyrhólaey & Reynisdrange. We will end the day watching the
sunset at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon.
Day 5 – Glaciers & Icebergs
It’s all about ice today ! We will head to Vatnajökull National Park, where will go for a
glacier-walking excursion. Then, after that we will head to the amazing Jökulsárlón Iceberg
Lagoon where we will enjoy a kayak ride among the amaze of floating icebergs, ending the
day in the black diamond beach .
Day 6 East Fjords & fishing villages
Our drive along East Iceland will be characterized by spectacular fjords, tranquil fishing villages,
rugged tundra and sweeping landscapes.
We will stop by Seyðisfjörður, Iceland’s most picture square village before we head north.
Day 7 Lunar landscapes of LAKE MÝVATN
The day will spent walking through JÖKULSÁRGLJÚFUR; part of Vatnajökull National park,
visiting such sights as the hoof-shaped Asbyrgi canyon and the most powerful waterfall in
Europe, Dettifoss Waterfall. We will also discover the hidden gems around Lake myvaten.
Iceland Day 8 & 9 –North Iceland
We will spend two days in the charming town of Akureyri, where you will find interesting
Wonders shops and museums as well as the world's most northerly botanical garden. After
discovering the north, we will head to Snæfellsnes Peninsula , and go for a horse-riding
journey before heading back to our last stop in the ring road.
Day 10 – Blue lagoon
What a perfect way of ending our beautiful road trip, Enjoy a full day at one of Iceland's
most popular attractions. Swimming in the beautiful milky-blue water of the Blue Lagoon is
unlike anything else found on earth.
Day 11 – Departure Day
Time to head back home.. Today is your departure day from Iceland.
We will miss you!

The thought of going to a new country with strangers might sound a
bit crazy and overwhelming but for me, travelling the ring road was a
trip of a lifetime. Every corner I passed left me in awe.
One day I am snowmobiling on the second biggest glacier in Iceland
looking at kilometres of snow, the next lying down on a black sand
beach made of lava and next walking behind and above a mighty
waterfall. The sceneries and activities are endless and exploring them
with a group of people who became friends was the best part of it all.
If you have a side of you that loves adventures, then trust yourself
and take your first step. Iceland was my first trip with The journey
adventures, and definitely not my last.

fate? Not to sound cheesy but traveling with The Journey
Adventures transformed my life. My first trip was to Everest
Base Camp in 2018, little did I know that 1. I will fall in love
with mountains 2. I will fall in love with the challenge of
reaching a summit/peak 3. I will fall in love with The Journey’s
life changing philosophy on life that pushes you to live outside
of your comfort zone – everyday. Next thing I know, a few
months later, I’m in South Africa discovering another beautiful
country, with beautiful people, while mostly discovering myself
and my limits (mostly while bungee jumping off the one of the
highest bridges!). Trust your gut. Take the plunge. Enjoy it all -

moment The Journey Adventures announced about their trip to
Zanzibar, I immediately signed up without hesitation.
The whole trip was just sensational; the cause, the group, the people
and everything that followed. The moment when we were about to
leave the school after finishing the classroom was very overwhelming.
I turned back and looked at the class for the very last time, not
believing that we finished it in literally 5 days. All the joyful moments,
and the happy faces around from the kids and the group made this
whole trip simply memorable and out of this world.
Thank you, the Journey Adventures for making this happen, and for
making me tick a couple of items out of my bucket list. .

can guess how magical , extraordinary and unforgettable journey I
had in South Africa. Because life is too short for a second thought. I

There is something very special in facing uncertainty. You discover a
lot about yourself when dealing with unfamiliar challenges and
finding your own way in overcoming them.
Going through this journey to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, there were
infinite challenges and surprises mother-nature had prepared for us
on our way to the top. How did we face them? As a TEAM!! We
created an environment that chose to laugh instead of cry, to dance
even when we could barely walk, and to share our dreams rather
than feeding on each others’ fears. It was a contagious positive
environment that made reaching the highest peak in Africa a
wonderful adventure.
The Journey Adventures, thank you for introducing me to these
remarkable group of individuals that are unstoppable when they
unite. I’m proud to call them my family.
