As a design journalist and former editor-in-chief of living maga-
zines, I‘ve kept an eye on the interior design scene for more than
three decades. A lot has happened since then. Living has become
personality’s business card. The offerings are almost infinite. It
needs focus. And inspiration!

After all, people buying furniture aren’t just after its function - they
also seek beautiful things that improve their personal wellbeing.
Knowing the background of a product and understanding the desig-
ner’s inspiration and attitude adds an emotional layer to the product.

This has allowed designs to emerge in the revolutionary Bauhaus
movement which have become icons of design and classics of the
modern age. Even a century after the Bauhaus was founded, they are
still popular and sought after. The principle of the aura of a product
applies to all „objects of desire“.

The concept of munich interior days is therefore an impressive one.
