with the Coushatta and Chitimacha Tribes learn about bid opportunities, forecasts, and learn how

they are giving back to their community.

This session you will learn about how the PTACs provide local, in-person counseling and
training services for you, the small business owner. They are designed to provide technical
assistance to businesses that want to sell products and services to federal, state, and/or local
governments, you will learn about various ways on how to best market yourself and how to get
involved with Government Contracting for your small business, the various programs and
services will be discussed.

Patricia Luna is President and CEO of Maclovia, LLC a successful professional services federal
contractor located in Northern Virginia. Patricia will share her journey and evolution of starting
her small, woman-owned and minority owned business of Hispanic descent and describe the
steps she took to navigate the 8(a)-application process, and successfully market and win 8(a)
contracts. She will provide information on how to build your brand and capability statement, and
will highlight how marketing, innovation, partnerships, and diversification were important for
her business success.

This session will train nascent federal contractors regarding the benefits of participating in
various small business contracting and set-aside programs. We will review eligibility criteria,
affiliation concerns, program benefits, and discussions on how to maintain eligibility. Small
Business Contracting Programs to be discussed include the 8(a) Business Development,
HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Women Owned Small Business
and Economically Disadvantaged Women Owned Small Business Programs. And review the
New Rules and Regulations.
