A Message From The Center When I think of the month of March, the first things to come to my mind are St. Patrick’s Day - the color green, leprechauns, the way my mom used to make my milk green when I was a kid and how I make it for my kids now, my Irish heritage from my Dad, the first day of spring and Easter & spring break vacations (from those years it falls early). March 2020 brings different, not so fond memories with COVID and the start of many challenges for all of us, thus making it more difficult to focus on those happy thoughts. As I sit here now, I can't believe it's been two years since that time when our world shut down and am so proud of all of us and the fight we put up to get through this tough time. The strength, courage, determination and love shown since then is a true testament to the amazing human spirit that is within all of us, one that cannot be broken. This March, I want to encourage you to join me in overpowering those 2020 memories with the positive, happy memories that live within and to make some new memories that will fill you with joy. Did you know that in March of 1876, Alexander Graham Bell was granted the first patent and made the first phone call? In the spirit of this momentous occasion so long ago, I challenge you to make a phone call to a friend or family member you haven't talked to recently...reconnect & make that new memory! Then, come visit me in my office upstairs at the Center and tell me about it...I can't wait to see you! I wish you a month full of happiness and hope to see you making some new memories with us!
