Please keep these concerns in your daily prayers… 1 South Africa: Don and Rachel Sayers travelled to the US in December where Rachel was successfully operated on for her parathyroid condition. Philippines: We anticipate God’s grace and mercy as we ring in this New Year. For us in more ways than one, this pandemic has been a blessing. Please pray for the 139 teachers and pastors trained just this pandemic season alone, as they gather the children (when possible) and teach them about the Lord. 2 International: The EI Council is made up of the Directors from all of EI’s countries. Please pray as we meet to share needs and discuss organizational progress. 3 Tanzania: Joel will be travelling to Dodoma for a meeting with the Tanzania Assemblies of God, our partner church. The meeting will take place from 5 till 9 January. 4 United States of America: Mark Abbott has a good friend that is at Mayo Clinic in Minneapolis going through extensive testing for an illness that can’t be identified. Tanzania: We praise God that in January the Health for Development project will be starting. Please pray for our donors that they get more funds to support the project. 5 Uganda: We expect schools to reopen fully sometime in January or February, though an official date has yet to be communicated. We pray the government will be wise as they reopen schools, and that we will have wisdom as we seek to safely resume our school ministries. 6 Tanzania: This month Simon, Bhatendi, and Emmanuel will be conducting beekeeping and harvesting seminars on Kome island. 7 Malawi: We have to pray for the rains, for God to protect people’s lives from disasters that come with the rains, such as floods. In the same vein, we have to pray against droughts in this season. 8 Philippines: We are scheduling the next batch of training with more churches and organizations wanting to use The Mailbox Club children’s discipleship materials in their provinces. Pray as Ruth put together her training team (younger people) as they go out and facilitate the sessions. Pray for protection and safety. 9 Brazil: Emmanuel Brazil is discussing the possibility to extend the food distribution to poor families affected by the pandemic. Your prayers for open doors are welcome. 10 Tanzania: Praise God that the launch of Phase 2 of the girls’ health project, Nguvu na Hadhi, went well. Continue to pray for Laura and Theopister and the girls they are working with. 11 United Kingdom: We would appreciate you prayers as we plan for this year, including the monthly publications. We are meeting with the International Office and EI Canada via zoom to coordinate this.

Please pray that communications will continue to be good and that he will not be exhausted by the dual responsibilities. 13 Philippines: We are asking for prayer for two of our partner churches: Pastor Dan Manoyon (Calvary Baptist Fellowship Church of Bacolod City) was assigned to manage the livestock project in a rural area about 2 hours away from the city. His cellphone got lost last March when the pandemic started. Since then there was no communication from him. Borders have been closed. Please pray that he will connect with me (Shem Catanus) as soon as possible. Doane Baptist Church of Leon, Iloilo have recently resumed their church services and other ministries.
