Maumee Bay State Park will be holding a job fair on Saturday, March 13 and 20, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm for seasonal summer workers. Most positions will work from May through September. In order to be hired, all applicants must be 16 years old by the beginning of employment. Jostens will be at CHS on Tuesday, February 16, during all lunch periods to accept class ring orders. A Jostens representative will be located in both lunch locations, the cafeteria and the Potter Gym. A $75 down payment will secure the ring order and payment plans are available through Jostens. The ordering packets were mailed home to all freshmen. There are extra packets available in the counselors suite. Junior ACT Administration All junior students are scheduled to take the ACT on Wednesday, February 24. Wednesday was selected to avoid missing in-person class time. The State of Ohio requires that all students be offered the ACT for free during their junior year of high school. Every junior student has been registered and their participation is expected. Testing will run from 7:50 am until approximately 12:30 pm or if your child has ACT approved accommodations, the time for the test will be 7:50 am until 2:00 pm. Transportation will be provided for all junior students that contacted Mr. Sigg and notified him of their need for transportation. These special bus routes will be communicated directly to the students that contacted Mr. Sigg. Juniors should leave all cell phones and book bags in their car or at home. Students are expected to bring a photo ID if available. If your child is unable to bring a photo ID, we can identify them through PowerSchool, but an ID will make the check-in process more efficient. Any questions regarding the junior ACT can be directed to Mr. Sigg at 419-693-0665 ext. 2009
or gsigg@oregoncs.org. CHS Limelighter Production The Clay Limelighters will present Rodgers Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Enchanted Edition, on February 26 and 27, at 7:00 pm and February 28, at 3:00 pm. The timeless magical fairy tale will soon be appearing on the CHS stage with all of its charm, elegance, and romance. This stage adaption of the 1997 television musical, which starred Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as her Fairy Godmother, will warm the hearts of children and adults alike.
