You’ll find him pottering in his shed; planning his latest mission. He is learning to speak Penguin and hopes that you will too! When he arrives at the Antarctic will its icy wilderness meet his excited expectations? Will the penguins’ reception be frosty, or will the colony welcome him with open wings?! With a playful energy and a mix of puppetry, music and song, this show will be a delightful celebration of wild creativity and the joy of individuality. Her friend Little Boy Blue is doing his best to find the woolly runaways but he keeps falling asleep.
Meanwhile, The Nursery Rhyme Man is in his kitchen baking a surprise cake for Little Bo Peep’s birthday. As he works a mischievous mouse keeps stealing the ingredients. Watch your favourite nursery rhymes come to life before your eyes with magnificent puppets, fantastic scenery, lots of music and singing. Starting prices: £6 / Groups of 6 or more: £4.50 per person Running time: 45mins + 15mins ‘Meet the Puppets.’ Curly Tales Theatre presents Jackie and The Beanstalk Sat 12 Oct / 11.30am & 2.30pm / Age 3 – 8 yrs Once upon a time, in a back garden not too far from here, Jackie and her Grandad Jack love to share tales of giants, castles and magic. That is until Jackie’s adventure takes a turn for the worse. How can she tell stories to make her garden grow now that Grandad has gone? Then one day something quite out of the ordinary happens… a beanstalk appears! This brand new story, full of adventure, laughter and growing up, features live music, songs and puppetry. Deep in the forest, Mammy, Daddy and Baby Bear are preparing for winter. Each day the Three Bears head off into the woods to collect interesting things they can re-use for their house.
As winter arrives, their cosy home is turned upside down by a colourful whirlwind that threatens to sit in their chairs, eat their porridge and fall asleep in their beds – it’s Goldilocks! Join us for an adventure into the woods with original live music, puppetry and a tale you thought you knew… Starting prices: £6 / Groups of 6 or more: £4.50 per person Running time: 1hr Pickled Image presents Woodland Tales with Granddad Sat 23 Nov / 11.30am & 2.30pm / Age 3+ Something is happening in the woods, voices can be heard, and a strange metallic smell fills the air. Machines are gathering at its edge and a mysterious call is heard across the valley. Laura the ladybird, Jeffrey the spider, Brett the woodlouse and Willoughby the woodpecker are worried. Velda the vixen knows there’s one person who can help them – Granddad. But is there enough time? Can they save the wood? And will the mystery stranger help? Christmas Sparklefest Sat 21 Dec (1 – 3pm & 4 – 6pm) Little & Loud Every Wednesday (During term time) 9:45am – 10:45am Age 0 – 5 yrs Price: £1.50 per person Come along and introduce your little one to music! This session is a fantastic activity for parents and children under 5 to play and learn together. Little & Loud is a fun and playful weekly session incorporating songs, music, moving, singing and dancing. The group play with percussion instruments, toys and other props to create gentle, creative and playful experience. Family Films We are going to be showing a range of family films in our cinema this spring to keep children of all ages and their families entertained! All family screenings are relaxed, so join us for an amazing family cinema experience. Family films will be screened at 11am every Saturday. Price: £4 per person No 60 Children’s Snack Box / £4 You’re treating the kids to a trip to the theatre/cinema – simple, right? But what are they going to eat? Save any hassle with our children’s snack boxes – after all, you want to enjoy your family day out too!
Our snack boxes include a carton drink, a sandwich of your choice, a small pick ‘n’ mix, and a bag of crisps. Choice of sandwiches include: ham, cheese, tuna, egg mayonnaise. Please let us know if your child has any dietary requirements at the time of booking. Hot meals for kids are also available from our No 60 café bar, priced at £4.25 including an ice cream cone.
