About us Moral Fairground is a business with purpose that creates spaces and events to champion ethical business practices and raises of the benefits of conscious consumerism. At these events are where ideas are born, networks are built, collaborations happen, and communities grow. The theme of all events in 2019 will focus on “collaboration for change”. For last 10 years, Moral Fairground has engaged with • 10 years’ of Fair @ Square ethical lifestyle festivals to encourage 500+ social enterprises, program/community conscious consumerism partners, councils, universities and sponsors in • 6 ethical enterprise conference to encourage collaboration and Australia wide. We have successfully developed: expanding knowledge in the sector • 6 ethical enterprise awards to recognize and celebrate the achievement of established ethical enterprises 4000+ 2800+ Media • 5 early pitch competition to provide support for ethical startups Channels • Over 60 networking events 1900+ 1100+ • 3 school program and conferences Community partners networks • 10 Victorian Fairtrade festivals 1200+ 20+ (eg.City of Melbourne, MelbourneUni)
Fair@Square, as one of the biggest event of Moral Fairground (MFG), has been part of the City of Melbourne for the last 10 years. It is the Australia’s biggest ethical lifestyle festival aiming to build awareness, inspire and educate people about the benefits of ethical lifestyle choices and to showcase enterprises that are innovative and are leading the way. Best location and Best timing • located in the heart of the city, Federation Square, attracting large crowds. • Held during Melbourne International Comedy Festival (27th March 21st April) which historically attracts 800,000 visitors to the city every year. • Held at the beginning of Easter month and one month before Mother’s Day offering a perfect shopping opportunity for visitors. 10 Since this is the first weekend of school holiday and a month before Mother’s Activation Day, all the themes will be activities that families can enjoy. All the sites are Points related to sustainability, ethics, human rights and other ethical topics. Examples of the 10 activation points: • Mothers’ Corner • Fashion Tent • Kids’ Corner • The good Kitchen (cooking demonstration): • Fairtrade • Easter Activities • Music Stations • Other Activities…… • The final stop of the journey is the “free sustainable wrapping station” where visitor get the final stamp, the free wrapping and go into a draw to win prizes.

Engaging the exhibitors: A series of stories will be created in collaboration with some of the exhibitors to share their 10-years- journey of contribution to society and environment and their vision for the future. #befair10 Social Media Storytelling Campaign * #Befair10 is a targeted social media campaign designed to create buzz and excitement about people’s conscious consumerism journey. Engaging the public: We will do a 30 second trailer video through all media platforms to encourage people to use #befair10 to share their stories about “fair”. The content will relate to their personal experiences or opinions.
